Intrada Records has announced a new soundtrack album for Steven Spielberg’s 2005 feature War of the Worlds starring Tom Cruise, Dakota Fanning, Justin Chatwin, Miranda Otto and Tim Robbins. The 2-CD set features the remastered and expanded score from the Paramount Pictures and DreamWorks Pictures production composed and conducted by John Williams (Star Wars, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Schindler’s List, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, Jaws), including the film’s complete score on the first disc and a remastered version of the original 2005 soundtrack album, as well as 15 minutes of extras on the second disc. Burning Witches Records has released a soundtrack album for the horror comedy 12 Hour Shift. The album features the film’s original music composed by Matt Glass (You Cannot Kill David Arquette) who also serves as a producer and the director of photography on the project. A vinyl edition is available to order on the label’s official website. 12 Hour Shift is written and directed by Brea Grant and stars Angela Bettis, Chloe Farnworth, Nikea Gamby-Turner, Kit Williamson and David Arquette. Craig Armstrong Scoring ‘Soulmates’ Episode ‘Watershed’

Craig Armstrong (Moulin Rouge!, The Great Gatsby, The Incredible Hulk, Romeo + Juliet, Love Actually, The Bone Collector) has composed the original music for the first episode of the new AMC anthology series Soulmates created by Will Bridges (Black Mirror: USS Callister & Shut Up and Dance) & Brett Goldstein. Episode 1, entitled Watershed, is directed by Rob Savage and stars Sarah Snook, Kingsley Ben-Adir, Dolly Wells and Darren Boyd. The show is set 15 years into the future, when science has made a discovery that changes the lives of everyone on the planet – a test that unequivocally tells you who your soulmate is. Rotor Records has released a soundtrack album for the Finnish biographical drama Tove. The album features the film’s original music composed by Matti Bye (Everlasting Moments, Young Wallander, The 101-Year-Old Man Who Skipped Out on the Bill and Disappeared, A Serious Game,) The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon, where you can also check out audio samples. Tove is directed by Zaida Bergroth and stars Alma Pöysti, Krista Kosonen, Shanti Roney and Joanna Haartti. The movie centers on famed artist, author and Moomins creator Tove Jansson and focuses on the period between the mid-40s and mid-50s, when she created the Moomins and embarked on a passionate affair with a female theatre director. Cinco Paul to Compose Music for Apple TV+ Musical Series

Cinco Paul is composing the original music for an upcoming untitled Apple TV+ musical series created by Paul himself & Ken Daurio (Despicable Me series, The Secret Life of Pets) and starring Cecily Strong, Keegan-Michael Key, Alan Cumming, Fred Armisen, Kristin Chenoweth, Aaron Tveit, Dove Cameron, Ariana DeBose, Jaime Camil, Jane Krakowski and Ann Harada. The show follows a couple who embarks on a backpacking trip in order to reinvigorate their relationship, when they discover the magical town of Schmigadoon, in which everyone acts as if they are in a studio musical from the 1940s.
