Intrada Records has announced the world premiere soundtrack release for the 1973 British television movie Frankenstein: The True Story directed by Jack Smight, based on Mary Shelley’s classic novel and starring Leonard Whiting as Victor Frankenstein, Jane Seymour as Prima, James Mason as Dr Polidori, David McCallum as Henry Clerval and Michael Sarrazin as the Creature. The album features the film’s original music composed and conducted by Gil Mellé (The Andromeda Strain, Night Gallery, The Sentinel, Borderline, The Organization). The full details of the soundtrack album for the Prime Video original series Spider-Noir have been revealed. The album features selections of the show’s original score composed by Kris Bowers (The Wild Robot, Bridgerton, Green Book, King Richard, The Color Purple, Space Jam: A New Legacy, Haunted Mansion, Secret Invasion) and Michael Dean Parsons (Pain Hustlers, Light & Magic, Sketchbook,Gold & Greed: The Hunt for Fenn’s Treasure, Obi-Wan Kenobi: A Jedi’s Return). Also included is the opening titles song Saving Grace by Kirby (previously released as a digital single), as well as the cover version of Dream a Little Dream of Me and the original song The Devils You Know (written by Oak Felder & Sebastian Kole) performed by Li Jun Li who stars as Cat Hardy. The soundtrack will be released digitally this Wednesday May 27 by Sony Classical and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Premiering today is the second season of the Netflix original series Bad Thoughts created by Tom Segura and starring Segura himself, alongside guest stars including Alex English, Allegra Edwards, Brooks Wheelan, Busy Philipps, Christina Pazsitsky,Frankie Quinones, Jamie-Lynn Sigler, Johnny Pemberton, Kevin Nealon, Lily Sullivan, Luke Wilson, Maria Bamford, Mike Mitchell and Odette Annable. Dan Gross (Drunk History, Nude Nuns with Big Guns) has composed the new season’s original music, taking over from Pinar Toprak & Gerrit Wunder who scored last year’s first season. The comedy, which follows Segura as he navigates unthinkable situations and fantasies within a cinematic world, is available to stream exclusively on Netflix.
Premiering in the U.S. tomorrow, May 25, is the British TV series Summerwater developed by John Donnelly based on Sarah Moss’ book of the same name and starring Dougray Scott, Shirley Henderson, Valene Kane, Arnas Fedaravičius, Anna Próchniak, Shereen Cutkelvin, James Harkness, Anders Hayward and Daniel Rigby. The show’s original music is composed by Gazelle Twin (aka Elizabeth Bernholz) (The Power, Black Cab, Welcome to the Blumhouse: Nocturne, Then You Run). Invada Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score last fall when the drama premiered in the UK on Channel 4.
