Premiering tonight is the new Showtime original series Moonbase 8 created by Fred Armisen, Jonathan Krisel, Tim Heidecker & John C. Reilly and starring Armisen, Heidecker and Reilly themselves. The show’s original music is composed by Steven Drozd of The Flaming Lips who made his scoring debut on the comedy. The A24 production centers on three astronauts stationed at NASA’s Moon Base Simulator in a remote part of the Arizona desert as they encounter many obstacles including loneliness, self-doubt and their own incompetence. Premiering tomorrow, November 9, is the HBO original series Industry created by Mickey Down & Konrad Kay and starring Myha’la Herrold, Marisa Abela, Nabhaan Rizwan, Harry Lawtey, David Jonsson, Conor MacNeill and Ken Leung. Electronic music producer Nathan Micay has composed the show’s original music. Alan Ari Lazar (An American Crime, The Most Hated Woman in America, Holiday in the Wild, Gangster’s Paradise: Jerusalema) has recently scored the new Netflix original film The Princess Switch: Switched Again. The movie is directed by Mike Rohl and stars Vanessa Hudgens, Sam Palladio, Suanne Braun and Nick Sagar. The sequel to 2018’s original The Princess Switch film (scored by Terry Frewer) follows Duchess Margaret as she unexpectedly inherits the throne to Montenaro and her double Stacy who has to save the day before a new lookalike foils their plans. Soundtrack Album for Netflix’s ‘La Révolution’ Released

Maisie Music Publishing has released a soundtrack album for the French Netflix original series La Révolution. The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Saycet (Tycoon, Man Up!). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download here, where you can also check out the track list and listen to audio clips. La Révolution is created by Aurélien Molas and stars Amir El Kacem, Marilou Aussilloux, Lionel Erdogan, Isabel Aimé Gonzalez Sola, Julien Frison, Doudou Masta, Dimitri Storoge, Amélia Lacquemant, Coline Beal and Laurent Lucas. The supernatural drama presents a reimagined history of the French Revolution and centers on the guillotine’s future inventor as he uncovers a disease that drives the aristocracy to murder commoners. The only movie opening in theaters nationwide this weekend is the thriller Let Him Go written and directed by Thomas Bezucha and starring Kevin Costner, Diane Lane, Lesley Manville, Booboo Stewart, Kayli Carter and Will Brittain. The film’s original music is composed by Michael Giacchino (Up, Lost, Jurassic World, The Incredibles, Star Trek, Doctor Strange, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story). Back Lot Music has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score today. Opening in select theaters today before coming out on VOD,  next Tuesday, November 10, is the drama Jungleland directed by Max Winkler and starring Charlie Hunnam, Jack O’Connell and Jessica Barden. Lorne Balfe (Mission: Impossible – Fallout, His Dark Materials, The LEGO Batman Movie, Bad Boys for Life, Gemini Man) has composed the film’s original music. No soundtrack album has been announced yet. Nathan Larson (Boys Don’t Cry, Dirty Pretty Things, Margin Call, Juliet, Naked) is set to compose the score for the upcoming original movie musical Molly and the Moon. The film is directed by Carter Bays & Craig Thomas (How I Met Your Mother) and is set to star Kristen Bell and Jonathan Groff. Harvey Mason Jr (Jingle Jangle: A Christmas Story, All Rise) will serve as executive music producer and Stephanie Diaz-Matos (The Get Down, Uncle Drew) is the project’s music supervisor. The album features the film’s original music composed by Jason van Wyk and Andries Smit (Vagrant Queen, House on Willow Street, An Elephant’s Journey) . ‘News of the World’ Soundtrack Album Details

Back Lot Music will release the official soundtrack album for the western News of the World. The album features the film’s original music composed by Academy Award nominee James Newton Howard (The Hunger Games, The Sixth Sense, King Kong, Signs, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, The Village, The Fugitive). The soundtrack will be released digitally and physically this December. News of the World is co-written and directed by Paul Greengrass and stars Tom Hanks and Helena Zengel. ‘The Capture’ Soundtrack Album Announced

Silva Screen Records has announced a soundtrack album for the BBC drama The Capture. The album features selections of the original music from the show’s first season composed by Blur drummer Dave Rowntree and Ian Arber (Medici, My Name Is Lenny, After the Screaming Stops). The soundtrack will be released digitally on November 20 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and other digital music stores. The Capture is written and directed by Ben Chanan and stars Callum Turner, Holliday Grainger, Ron Perlman, Famke Janssen, Ben Miles, Ralph Ineson, Paul Ritter, Lia Williams and Laura Haddock. The spy thriller is set in our contemporary world of digital surveillance and follows a soldier who returns to life as a free man with his young daughter after a conviction for a murder in Afghanistan is overturned due to flawed video evidence. A Christmas Gift from Bob is directed by Charles Martin Smith and stars Luke Treadaway, Kristina Tonteri-Young, Phaldut Sharma, Tim Plester, Nina Wadia, Pepter Lunkuse, Celyn Jones and Anna Wilson-Jones, as well as Bob the Cat.
