Premiering tomorrow, March 1, is the NBC mystery drama Debris created by J.H. Wyman and starring Jonathan Tucker, Riann Steele, Norbert Leo Butz and Scroobius Pip. The show’s original music is composed by Raney Shockne (Queen of the South, Anger Management, The To Do List, Kevin Can Wait, The Wedding Year). The series, which revolves around a secretive international agency that is tasked with the mystery of a wreckage that starts falling from the sky, will air every Monday night on NBC. Also premiering tomorrow is the Netflix documentary Biggie: I Got a Story to Tell directed by Emmett Malloy and executive produced by Sean Combs, Voletta Wallace, Mark Pitts, Stanley Buchthal & Brendan Malloy about the life of one of the most influential rappers. Adam Peters (Savages, Icarus, Snowden, Sand Castle, The Dissident) has composed the film’s original score. Rhino Atlantic will release a soundtrack album featuring fourteen tracks by The Notorious B.I.G. ‘Biggie: I Got a Story to Tell’ Soundtrack to Be Released

Rhino Atlantic will release a soundtrack album for the Netflix original documentary Biggie: I Got a Story to Tell. The album features a selection of songs by the film’s subject, The Notorious B.I.G. The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, March 1 and will be available to stream/download here. Biggie: I Got a Story to Tell is directed by Emmett Malloy (The Tribes of Palos Verdes, Out Cold) and offers a fresh look at the life of one of the most influential rappers of all time on his journey from hustler to rap king, by those who knew him best. ‘Red Dot’ Soundtrack Album Released

Carl-Johan Sevedag (Horizon Line, Borg vs. McEnroe, Top Dog) has released a soundtrack album for the Swedish Netflix original film Red Dot. The album features the composer’s original music from the movie and is now available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music stores. Red Dot is co-written and directed by Alain Darborg and stars Nanna Blondell, Anastasios Soulis, Thomas Hanzon, Johannes Kuhnke, Tomas Bergström, Kalled Mustonen and Anna Azcárate. Tom Holkenborg (Junkie XL) to Score George Miller’s ‘Furiosa’ and Netflix’s ‘Army of the Dead’ Prequel & Anime Series

Tom Holkenborg (aka Junkie XL) confirmed during a recent appearance on the Film Junkee Vodka Stream that he is attached to score George Miller’s upcoming Mad Max: Fury Road prequel Furiosa. The film will star Anya Taylor-Joy in the title role, alongside Chris Hemsworth and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II. Miller (The Witches of Eastwick, Happy Feet, Baby: Pig in the City) is co-writing the screenplay with Nick Lathouris and is also producing the project with Doug Mitchell (Babe, Dead Calm). Holkenborg (Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice, Alita: Battle Angel, Black Mass, Divergent) has previously scored 2015’s Mad Max: Fury Road and is also collaborating with Miller on the upcoming Three Thousand Years of Longing. The only movie opening in theaters nationwide is the live-action/animated feature Tom & Jerry directed by Tim Story and starring Chloë Grace Moretz, Michael Peña, Rob Delaney, Colin Jost and Ken Jeong. The show’s original music is composed by Christopher Lennertz (The Boys, Lost in Space, Sausage Party, Agent Carter,  Horrible Bosses, Supernatural). WaterTower Music has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score earlier this month. Check out our previous article for the full album details and to learn more about the Warner Bros. Pictures production, which is also premiering on HBO Max today.

Opening in select theaters today before expanding nationwide on March 12 is the drama The Father co-written and directed by Florian Zeller and starring Anthony Hopkins, Olivia Colman, Mark Gatiss, Rufus Sewell, Imogen Poots and Olivia Williams. Ludovico Einaudi (The Intouchables, This Is England, Samba) has composed the film’s original music. No word on a soundtrack release. Lakeshore Records has released a soundtrack album for the supernatural horror thriller The Vigil. The album features the film’s original music composed by Michael Yezerski (Blindspotting, The Tax Collector, The Devil’s Candy, Deputy, Mr. Inbetween). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon or any other major digital music services. The Vigil is written and directed by Keith Thomas and stars Dave Davis, Fred Melamed, Menashe Lustig, Malky Goldman and Lynn Cohen. ‘A Writer’s Odyssey’ Soundtrack Released

Beijing Touch Wonder Technology Co. has released a soundtrack album for the Chinese fantasy epic A Writer’s Odyssey. The album features the film’s original music composed by Jed Kurzel (Alien: Covenant, Macbeth, The Snowtown Murders, Assassin’s Creed, The Babadook, Overlord, The True History of the Kelly Gang). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download here, where you can also check out the track list and listen to audio samples. A Writer’s Odyssey is directed by Lu Yang and stars Lei Jiayin, Yang Mi, Yu Hewei, Dong Zijian  and Guo Jingfei. Elliott Wheeler to Team Up with Michael Sucsy on Movie Musical ‘A Lot Like Christmas’

Deadline is reporting that composer/music producer Elliott Wheeler (The Get Down) and writer/director Michael Sucsy (The Vow, Grey Gardens) are writing the music and lyrics for the original movie musical A Lot Like Christmas. Sucsy will also direct the film, which is set in New York City and revolves around EGOT-winner Riva DeLange, a woman synonymous with Christmas, as she revives her once-famous Christmas special in an attempt to reconnect with her children who hate the holidays because of their mother. Brian Oliver (1917, Black Swan) and Brad Fischer (Shutter Island, Zodiac) are producing the project for New Republic Pictures, alongside Sucsy’s HungryDuck Productions. Read the rest of this entry »

Milan Records will release a soundtrack album for the sci-fi horror thriller Come True. The album features the film’s original music composed by Electric Youth and Pilotpriest (aka Anthony Scott Burns who also directed the movie). The soundtrack will be released digitally on March 12, 2021 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. A first track (Modern Fears (Pilotpriest Come True Version)) is already available to stream/download now and can be checked out after the jump. Come True is co-written and directed by Burns and stars Landon Liboiron, Skylar Radzion, Julia Sarah Stone, Carlee Ryski, Christopher Heatherington, Tedra Rogers, Skylar Radzion, Tiffany Helm and Orin McCusker. The movie follows a 18-year-old teenage runaway who submits to a university sleep study and hoping for an escape from her recurring nightmares, but soon realizes she’s become the conduit to a frightening new discovery. Milan Records has released a soundtrack album for the drama Night of the Kings (La Nuit des rois). The album features the film’s original music composed by Olivier Alary (Alllure, Felix and Meira, First Match, A Brother’s Love). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Night of the Kings is written and directed by Philippe Lacôte and stars Denis Lavant, Issaka Sawadogo, Steve Tientcheu and Koné Bakary. The movie, which has recently been shortlisted (as the Ivorian entry) in the Best International Feature Film category for this year’s Academy Awards, tells the story of young man incarcerated in a prison in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire who must spend the whole night recounting a story if he hopes to survive.
