The show is written and directed by Raoul Peck (Sometimes in April) and follows the filmmaker as he deconstructs the making and masking of history, focusing on the exploitative and genocidal aspects of European colonialism – from America to Africa and its impact on society today. The 4-parter reframes and revisits the meaning of the Native American genocide and American slavery and their fundamental implications for our present. A soundtrack album has been released for the British period thriller Six Minutes to Midnight. The album features the film’s original music composed by Marc Streitenfeld (Robin Hood, Prometheus, The Grey, American Gangster, Raised by Wolves, Body of Lies). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon and most other digital music stores. Six Minutes to Midnight is directed by Andy Goddard and stars Eddie Izzard, Judi Dench, James D’Arcy, Carla Juri, Jim Broadbent and Celyn Jones. The movie is set in 1939 and follows a teacher who is assigned to a finishing school on the south coast of England and becomes alarmed that the students include the daughters of high-ranking Nazis. Opening in theaters nationwide today is the action thriller Nobody directed by Ilya Naishuller and starring Bob Odenkirk, Connie Nielsen, RZA, Aleksey Serebryakov and Christopher Lloyd. The film’s original music is composed by David Buckley (Angel Has Fallen, Jason Bourne, The Good Wife, Papillon, The Forbidden Kingdom, The Nice Guys, Unhinged). Back Lot Music has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score last Friday. Walt Disney Records has released a digital version of the soundtrack album for the studios’ 1993 fantasy comedy Hocus Pocus directed by Kenny Ortega and starring Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, Kathy Najimy, Omri Katz, Thora Birch and Vinessa Shaw. The album features the film’s original score composed and conducted by John Debney (The Passion of the Christ, The Jungle Book, Elf, Iron Man 2, The Emperor’s New Groove, Bruce Almighty). Hollywood Records and Marvel Music have released the first track from the soundtrack for Marvel Studios’ Disney+ original series The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. Available to stream/download now as a digital single is the end credits track Louisiana Hero written by the show’s composer Henry Jackman (Captain America: The Winter Solider & Civil War, Wreck-It-Ralph, X-Men: First Class, Big Hero 6, Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle).
