Tom Howe (A Shaun the Sheep Movie: Farmageddon, Early Man, Professor Marston & the Wonder Women, Charming) has been tapped to score the upcoming animated feature The Amazing Maurice. The film is directed by Toby Genkel (All Creatures Big And Small, Two by Two: Overboard!), co-directed by Florian Westermann and features the voices of Hugh Laurie, Emilia Clarke, Himesh Patel, David Thewlis, Gemma Arterton and Hugh Bonneville. The movie is based on Terry Pratchett’s Discworld novel Amazing Maurice and his Educated Rodents and a centers on streetwise cat who leads a band of educated ratty friends (and a dumb-looking kid) on a nice little earner. Air-Edel Records will release a soundtrack album for the British romantic drama The Drifters. The album features the film’s original music composed by Zero VU (The Drifters, Tuff Money, The Cockfields). The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, April 9 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and other digital music stores. The Drifters is written and directed by Ben Bond and stars Lucie Bourdeu and Jonathan Ajay. The movie is set in a post-Brexit United Kingdom and follows an African migrant and a French waitress who attempt to find home in one another and escape the labels that inevitably leave them homeless. Expanded ‘Company Business’ Soundtrack Album Announced

Intrada Records has announced a new soundtrack album for the 1991 action comedy Company Business written and directed by Nicholas Meyer and starring Gene Hackman and Mikhail Baryshnikov. The 2-CD set features the original score from the MGM production composed and conducted by Michael Kamen (Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves, Die Hard, Lethal Weapon, X-Men, Mr. Holland’s Opus, Band of Brothers, Brazil), including the content of the original 1991 soundtrack on the first disc and the score in film order (including around 10 minutes of previously unreleased music) on the second disc. MovieScore Media has announced a soundtrack album for the biographical drama Charlatan. The album features the film’s original music composed by Antoni Komasa-Łazarkiewicz (In Darkness, Copying Beethoven, Rosemary’s Baby, Spoor, The Affair) & Mary Komasa. Premiering in the U.S. today is the Norwegian mini-series Atlantic Crossing written by Alexander Eik & Linda May Kallestein, directed by Eik and starring Sofia Helin, Kyle MacLachlan and Tobias Santelmann. The show’s original music is composed by Raymond Enoksen (Haunted, Ice Road Rescue). Dreamscore Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score last year when the 8-part drama premiered overseas. Also premiering tonight is the Fox TV special Malika the Lion Queen directed by Karin Slater and narrated by Angela Bassett. Jasha Klebe (Planet Earth II, The Black Godfather, Winter on Fire: Ukraine’s Fight for Freedom, Medal of Honor, Challenger Disaster: Lost Tapes) has composed the original music for the special. The documentary, which follows a powerful pride of lions in South Africa’s Kruger National Park and explores the exhilarating and harrowing life of lioness Malika, will air on Fox tonight. Movistar Sound has released a new soundtrack album for the Spanish TV series Merlí Sapere Aude. The album features selections of the original music from the show’s second season composed by Xavier Capellas (Bruc, the Manhunt, Perdidos, Beyond Re-Animator, The Paradise). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon, where you can also check out the track list and listen to audio clips. The label has previously released a soundtrack featuring music from Season 1 of the teen drama last year.
