Paul Leonard-Morgan announced on Twitter that he is scoring the upcoming Lifetime original movie Grumpy Cat’s Worst Christmas Ever. The film is directed by Tim Hill (Alvin and the Chipmunks, Hop, SpongeBob SquarePants) and stars Aubrey Plaza as the voice of Grumpy Cat. The live action movie follows a pet-store cat that is perpetually overlooked and the 12-year-old girl (played by Megan Charpentier) who can communicate with her cat. Grumpy Cat (aka Tardar Sauce) is an internet celebrity and has already spawned a book, a coffee product and more. Hill also wrote the film’s teleplay with Jeff Morris and Arturo Interian is executive producing the project. Grumpy Cat’s Worst Christmas Ever is set to premiere on November 29, 2014 on Lifetime.

Premiering tonight on CBS is the new drama Madam Secretary created by Barbara Hall (Joan of Arcadia) and starring Téa Leoni, Tim Daly, Bebe Neuwirth, Geoffrey Arend, Patina Miller, Erich Bergen, Katherine Herzer and Evan Roe. The show’s original music is composed by the Transcenders (Gossip Girl, Harry’s Law, Our Family Wedding, Joey). BBC’s ‘The Driver’ to Feature Music by Lorne Balfe
Lorne Balfe has composed the music for the new BBC mini-series The Driver. The drama is created by Danny Brocklehurst and Jim Poyser and stars David Morrissey, Claudie Blakeley, Sacha Parkinson, Ian Hart, Colm Meaney, Shaun Dingwall and Lee Ross. The three-parter follows a taxi driver who blames himself for a family mystery and accepts an offer to start driving for a criminal gang. Jamie Payne (Doctor Who, The White Queen) has directed the mini-series, which is executive produced by Morrissey for Highfield Pictures, Nicola Shindler (Last Tango for Halifax, Happy Valley) for Red Productions and Polly Hill (The Honorable Woman, The White Queen) for BBC One. Brian Kirk to Score ‘NCIS: New Orleans’
Brian Kirk is composing the music for the new CBS drama NCIS: New Orleans. The show is created by Gary Glasberg (NCIS) and stars Scott Bakula, Lucas Black, Zoe McLellan, CCH Pounder and Rob Kerkovich. The drama follows the local field office that investigates criminal cases involving military personnel in The Big Easy, a city known for its music, entertainment and decadence. Glasberg is also executive producing the CBS Television Studios production with Mark Harmon, Jeffrey Lieber (Tuck Everlasting, co-creator of Lost) and James Hayman (Ugly Betty, Joan of Arcadia). Kirk has previously scored over 2000 episodes of the original NCIS show and will continue to score the show, which returns for a twelfth season this fall.
Brian Tyler & Tony Morales to Score CBS’ ‘Scorpion’
Brian Tyler and Tony Morales are scoring the new CBS drama Scorpion. The show is created by Nick Santora (Prison Break, Breakout Kings) and stars Elyes Gabel, Katharine McPhee, Robert Patrick, Eddie Kaye Thomas, Jadyn Wong and Ari Stidham. The series follows an eccentric genius and his team of brilliant misfits who comprise the last line of defense against complex, high-tech threats of the modern age. Santora is also executive producing the CBS Television Studios production with Alex Kurtzman & Roberto Orci (Star Trek, Alias), Nicholas Wootton (NYPD Blue, Chuck), Heather Kadin (Sleepy Hollow) Scooter Braun (Justin Bieber’s Believe) and Walter O’Brien. Justin Lin has directed the pilot episode and is also executive producing the project. The director has previously collaborated with Tyler on such films as Fast & Furious, Fast Five, Finishing the Game and Annapolis.
W.G. Snuffy Walden to Score NBC’s ‘Aquarius’
W.G. Snuffy Walden has signed on to score the upcoming NBC event series Aquarius. The show is created by John McNamara (Prime Suspect, Fastlane) and stars David Duchovny, Gethin Anthony, Grey Damon, Emma Dumont and Claire Holt. The series is set in the 1960s and follows a cop who goes undercover to track Charles Manson and the Manson Family before their infamous murder spree. McNamara is also executive producing the ITV Studios America production with Marty Adelstein (Prison Break, Last Man Standing, Tru Calling), Duchovny and Melanie Greene (Californication).
‘Arrow’ Season 2 Soundtrack Details
WaterTower Music will release a new soundtrack album for The CW hit series Arrow. The album features selections from the second season’s original music composed by Blake Neely (The Flash, The Mentalist, Everwood, Brothers & Sisters). Gabriel Mann to Score NBC’s ‘Marry Me’
Gabriel Mann has been hired to score the upcoming NBC comedy Marry Me. The show is created by David Caspe (Happy Endings, That’s My Boy) and stars Casey Wilson, Ken Marino, Sarah Wright Olsen, John Gemberling, Tymberlee Hill and Tim Meadows. The comedy follows a young couple who get engaged, something they quickly realize is harder than it looks. Seth Gordon (Horrible Bosses, Identity Thief) has directed the pilot episode and also serves as an executive producer on the Sony Pictures Television production alongside Caspe, Jamie Tarses (Happy Endings, Men at Work), Moses Port & David Guarascio (Community, Just Shoot Me!). Marry Me is set to premiere on October 14, 2014 and will air every Tuesday night on NBC.

Premiering tonight on PBS is the documentary The Roosevelts: An Intimate Portrait directed by Ken Burns about the lives of Theodore, Franklin and Eleanor Roosevelt, three members of the most prominent and influential family in American politics. ‘Borgia’ Season 3 Soundtrack Details
A soundtrack album will be released for the third and final season of the historical drama Borgia. The album features selection from the show’s original score composed by Eric Neveux (Intimacy, The Attack, Sitcom) who previously wrote the music for the second season. Silva Screen Records has previously released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s music for Season 2. Borgia is created by Tom Fontana and stars John Doman, Stanley Weber, Mark Ryder, Isolda Dychauk, Diarmuid Noyes, Assumpta Serna and Marta Gastini. The final season of the show about the Borgia family’s rise to power and subsequent domination of the Papal States during the Renaissance airs this fall in Europe and is expected to premiere in the U.S. on Netflix later this year or in early 2015.
