Back Lot Music has released the original song Come Clean by Michelle DeShon & Leon Thomas from the USA drama Satisfaction. The somg will be featured in this week’s episode Through Revelation and is now available to download as a single on Amazon. Check out an audio sample after the jump. Satisfaction is created and executive produced by Sean Jablonski and stars Matt Passmore, Stephanie Szostak, Michelle DeShon, Katherine LaNasa, Blair Redford and DeAnna Russo. The drama scored by Ludwig Goransson & Nathan Matthew David follows an investment banker and his wife who confront their relationship and life issues after the wife cheats on her husband. The final episodes of the show’s first season currently air on Thursday nights on USA.

Conrad Pope to Score Steven Spielberg-Produced ABC Series ‘The Whispers’
Conrad Pope is set to score the upcoming ABC drama The Whispers . The show is created by Soo Hugh and stars Lily Rabe, Barry Sloane, Derek Webster, Milo Ventimiglia, Brianna Brown, Kylie Rogers, Kyle Harrison Breitkopf and Catalina Deni. The series is based on the short story Zero Hour by Ray Bradbury and chronicles the race against the clock to defeat an unseen alien enemy out to achieve world domination using the planet’s most unlikely resource: the children. Steven Spielberg is executive producing the ABC Studios and Amblin Entertainment production with Hugh, Justin Falvey & Darryl Frank (The Americans, Under the Dome, Falling Skies) and Dawn Olmstead (Prison Break). Mark Romanek (One Hour Photo, Never Let Me Go) has directed the pilot episode. The project marks the composer’s first TV series scoring assignment.

Premiering on Friday, September 12, is the Syfy original series Z Nation created by Karl Schaefer and starring Harold Perrineau, Tom Everett Scott, DJ Qualls, Michael Welch, Kellita Smith and Anastasia Baranova. Jason Gallagher who is best known as a member of the rock band Leroy Justice is composing the show’s original score. Z Nation takes place there years after a zombie virus has gutted the country and follows a team of everyday heroes must transport the only known survivor of the plague from New York to California, where the last functioning viral lab waits for his blood. Ryan Shore to Score Disney Television Animation’s ‘Penn Zero: Part Time Hero’
Ryan Shore has signed on to score and write songs for Disney Television Animation’s upcoming series Penn Zero: Part Time Hero. The show is created by Jared Bush (All of Us, Zootopia) & Sam Levine (Wreck-It Ralph, Bolt) and features the voices of Thomas Middleditch (Silicon Valley), Adam DeVine (Pitch Perfect), Tania Gunadi (Transformers Prime), Alfred Molina (Chocolat), and Larry Wilmore (The Daily Show). The animated comedy adventure series follows Penn Zero, a boy from the suburbs who lands a job as a part-time hero and leader of a team of good guys who zap to other worlds to save the day. He teams up with sidekick Sashi and wise man Boone, who together tackle everything from space, the Old West, lands of enchantment and the ultimate challenge – suburbia. Bush and Levine are also executive producing the project.
Ludwig Göransson to Score Fox’s ‘Red Band Society’ and Starz’s ‘Survivor’s Remorse’
Ludwig Göransson has been hired to score the upcoming Fox dramedy Red Band Society. The show is created by Margaret Nagle (Boardwalk Empire) based on the Spanish TV series Polseres vermelles and stars Octavia Spencer, Dave Annable, Griffin Gluck, Nolan Sotillo, Charlie Rowe and Brian Bradley. The coming-of-age comedy drama follows the daily lives of a group of teenagers living in a hospital’s pediatric ward who become unlikely friends. Steven Spielberg is producing the ABC Studios and Amblin Television production with Justin Falvey & Darryl Frank (The Americans, Falling Skies, Under the Dome) and Sergio Aguero (No Reservations, Quarantine).
Christopher Lennertz to Score Marvel’s ‘Agent Carter’ TV Series
Christopher Lennertz has officially signed on to score Marvel Television’s upcoming series Agent Carter. The show is created by Christopher Markus & Stephen McFeely (Captain America: The First Avenger, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, The Chronicles of Narnia) and stars Hayley Atwell, Dominic Cooper, Enver Gjokaj and Chad Michael Murray. The drama is set in 1946 and follows Peggy Carter as she finds herself marginalized when the men return home from fighting abroad and must balance doing administrative work for the covert SSR (Strategic Scientific Reserve) and going on secret missions for Howard Stark. The series is based on the Marvel One-Shot short film of the same title, for which Lennertz has composed the music in 2013. Marvel’s Kevin Feige (The Avengers, Captain America, Iron Man, Guardians of the Galaxy, Thor) is executive producing the project with Markus & McFeely, Tara Butters & Michele Fazekas (Resurrection, Reaper), Louis D’Esposito and Jeph Loeb.
Brian Tyler Creates New Music for ESPN’s NFL Studio Shows
Brian Tyler has composed new theme music for ESPN’s NFL studio shows. The composer has written four original scores for ESPN-show-specific scores for three of the network’s NFL programs: Sunday NFL Countdown, NFL Live and NFL Insiders, as well as a general NFL Gridiron theme. The network has announced that Tyler’s music will be used within the respective shows and others, coming in and out of commercial breaks, in teases and as background music during highlight packages. Tyler’s work marks the first new original score for ESPN’s NFL shows since 1997. The composer’s music will debut on the season-opening edition of ESPN’s three-hour Sunday NFL Countdown pregame show on September 7.
Lifetime’s ‘Deliverance Creek’ to Feature Music by Jim Dooley
Jim Dooley has recently scored the Lifetime original movie Deliverance Creek. The drama marks the television debut of author Nicholas Sparks (The Notebook, Dear John, Message in a Bottle) and stars Lauren Ambrose, Wes Ramsey, Yaani King, Caitlin Custer, Christopher Backus, Riley Smith, Katherine Willis and Christopher Baker. The film directed by Jon Amiel (Entrapment, Copycoat, The Core) takes place at the end of the Civil War and centers on a mother of three who attempts to defend her family’s land by any means necessary. Melissa Carter (Little Black Book) has written the script script and is also executive producing the project with Sparks and Theresa Park (The Best of Me).

Premiering tomorrow night is the History original mini-series Houdini directed by Uli Edel and starring Adrien Brody and Kristen Connolly. John Debney (The Passion of the Christ, Elf, Iron Man 2, Bruce Almighty) has composed the original music for the series about magician Harry Houdini. Lakeshore Records has released two soundtrack albums featuring the composer’s score (and additional music by Sebastian Arocha) digitally earlier this week. Marc Streitenfeld Scoring Marc Forster’s Amazon Pilot ‘Hand of God’
Marc Streitenfeld has composed the music for the Amazon Studios drama pilot Hand of God. The show marks the television debut of director Marc Forster (Monster’s Ball, Finding Neverland, World War Z, Quantum of Solace) and stars Ron Perlman and Dana Delany. The psychological drama follows a hard-living married man with a high-end call girl on the side, who suffers a mental breakdown and goes on a vigilante quest to find the rapist who tore his family apart. Ben Watkins (Burn Notice) has written the pilot’s script and is also executive producing the project with Forster, Perlman, Brian Wilkins and Jeff King (White Collar). Streitenfeld is best known for his collaborations with Ridley Scott on such films as Robin Hood, American Gangster and Body of Lies.
