Brian Reitzell has signed on to compose the music for the upcoming Starz original series American Gods. The show is created by Bryan Fuller (Pushing Daisies) & Michael Green (Green Lantern) based on Neil Gaiman’s fantasy novel and stars Rickey Whittle, Ian McShane, Emily Browning, Jonathan Tucker, Crispin Glover, Cloris Leachman, Pablo Schreiber, Peter Stormare, Yetide Badaki, Bruce Langley, Chris Obi and Mousa Kraish. The drama follows a recently released ex-convict named Shadow who meets a mysterious man who calls himself “Wednesday” and who knows more than he first seems to about Shadow’s life and past.

AMC’s ‘Feed the Beast’ to Feature Music by Pat Irwin
Pat Irwin is composing the music for the upcoming AMC original series Feed the Beast. The show is created by Clyde Phillips (Dexter) based on the Danish series Bankerot and stars David Schwimmer, Jim Sturgess, Michael Gladis, Lorenza Izzo and Christine Adams. The drama follows two best friends who take one last shot at their dream of opening a restaurant. Phillips is also executive producing the AMC Studios and Lionsgate production with Henrik Ruben Genz (Good People), Malene Blenkov and Piv Bernth (The Killing, The Bridge).
‘The Durrells’ Theme Song Released
ABKCO Records has released the original theme song for the ITV original series The Durrells. The track is written by Ruth Barrett (Harry Brown, Toast, Hunted, Critical). The theme is now available to download as a single on Amazon. The Durrells is created by Simon Nye and stars Keeley Hawes, Josh O’Connor, Callum Woodhouse, Daisy Waterstone and Milo Parker. The drama based on Gerald Durrell’s trilogy of memoirs tell the story of Louisa Durrell who makes a radical change and uproots her four unruly children from Bournemouth, England to start a new life in Corfu in the 1930s.
Soundtrack Album for BBC’s ‘War & Peace’ to Be Released
Dubois Records will release a soundtrack album for the BBC mini-series War & Peace. The album features the 6-parter’s original music composed by Martin Phipps (The Woman in Gold, Brighton Rock, Harry Brown, The Honorable Woman). The soundtrack will be released digitally on May 13, 2016 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon, where you can also listen to audio samples. War & Peace is directed by Tom Harper and stars Paul Dano, Lily James, James Norton, Jim Broadbent, Gillian Anderson, Brian Cox, Ken Stott, Stephen Rea, Greta Scacchi, Jack Lowden, Tom Burke and Aisling Loftus. The epic drama based on Leo Tolstoy’s classic novel was adapted by Andrew Davies and premiered earlier this year in the UK on BBC and in the U.S. on Lifetime, A&E and History.
Toby Chu to Score ‘Surf’s Up 2: WaveMania’ & Freeform’s ‘Beyond’
Toby Chu has been hired to score the upcoming animated feature Surf’s Up 2: WaveMania. The film is directed by Henry Yu (story artist on Sym-Bionic Titan and Hotel Transylvania) and features the voices of WWE stars John Cena, The Undertaker, Triple H, WWE Diva Paige and Mr. McMahon. The sequel to the 2007 film follows Cody Maverick as he convinces an infamous big wave riding crew known as The Hang 5 to let him join them on their journey to a mysterious surf spot known as The Trenches, where legend has it, they’ll find the biggest waves in the world. Abdul Williams (Lottery Ticket) is writing the screenplay and Michelle Wong is producing the Sony Pictures Animation and WWE Studios production.
‘And Then There Were None’ Soundtrack Announced
Silva Screen Records has announced a soundtrack album for the mini-series And Then There Were None. The album features the series’ original music composed by Stuart Earl (Lilting, My Brother the Devil), which was recently nominated for an Ivor Novello Award in the Best Television Soundtrack category. The soundtrack will be released digitally on May 13, 2016. And Then There Were None is developed by Sarah Phelps based on Agatha Christie’s novel and stars Douglas Booth, Charles Dance, Anna Maxwell Martin, Sam Neill, Miranda Richardson, Toby Stephens, Maeve Dermody, Burn Gorman, Noah Taylor and Aidan Turner. The 3-parter follows ten strangers with dubious pasts who are lured to Soldier Island in 1939.

Federation Entertainment will release a soundtrack album for the Netflix original series Marseille. The album features the show’s original music composed by Academy Award winner Alexandre Desplat (The Grand Budapest Hotel, Godzilla, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, The King’s Speech) and Jean-Pasccal Beintus (United Passions). Also included is the song Ya Sidi by Orange Blossom. The soundtrack will be released digitally on May 6, 2016 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon, where you can also check out audio clips. Marseille is created by Dan Franck and stars Gérard Depardieu, Benoît Magimel, Géraldine Pailhas, Nadia Farès, Gérard Meylan, Nassim Si Ahmed, Antoine Coesens, Nozha Khouadra and Maruschka Detmers. The political drama directed by Florentine-Emilio Siri & Thomas Gilou centers around the city election between the long-time mayor Robert Taro and a younger ambitious candidate.
‘Bloodline’ Main Title Theme ‘The Water Lets You In’ by Book of Fears to Be Released
Madison Gate Records will release the main title theme of the Netflix original series Bloodline. The show’s original music is composed by James Jandrisch (Reasonable Doubt). Houdini & Doyle centers around master magician Harry Houdini and writer Sir Arthur Conan Doyle as they grudgingly join forces with New Scotland Yard to investigate inexplicable crimes with a supernatural slant. Christian Henson Scoring ITV’s ‘Tutankhamun’
Christian Henson has previously recorded his score for the upcoming ITV mini-series Tutankhamun. The drama is directed by Peter Webber (The Girl with the Pearl Earring, Emperor, Hannibal Rising) and stars Max Irons and Sam Neill. The 4-parter tells the story of Howard Carter’s discovery of the tomb of one of Ancient Egypt’s forgotten pharaohs, the boy-king Tutankhamun. Guy Burt (Jekyll and Hyde, The Bletchley Circle, The Borgias) has written the scripts for all four parts. Francis Hopkinson (Home Fires,) and Catherine Oldfield (Foyle’s War) are executive producing the ITV Studios production and Simon Lewis (The C Word, The Paradise) is producing the project.
