Andrew Lockington (San Andreas, Rampage, Journey to the Center of the Earth) is reteaming with director Richie Mehta on the upcoming mini-series Delhi Crime Story. The 7-parter is written and directed by Mehta and stars Shefali Shah, Rasika Dugal, Rajesh Tailang, Adil Hussain, Gopal Datt and Vinod Sherawat. The drama is based on a. true story and follows the Delhi Police during their investigation of a horrific gang rape of a young woman on a bus in 2012.

Amazon’s ‘Lorena’ to Feature Music by Julian Wass
Julian Wass has been tapped to score the upcoming docu-series Lorena. The 4-parter is directed by Joshua Rofé (Lost for Life) and re-investigates the story of the notorious case of John and Lorena Bobbitt that made international headlines and helped birth a 24-hour news cycle, exploring vital moral issues and the missed opportunity for a national discussion about domestic violence and sexual assault. Rofé is also executive producing the Amazon Studios production with Jordan Peele (Get Out, Us), Steven J. Berger, Win Rosenfeld (The Feels), Thomas Lesinski (Taboo) and Jenna Santoianni (Mr. Mercedes, Das Boot).
La-La Land Records to Release Soundtrack Album for Fox’s ‘The Orville’
La-La Land Records will release the first soundtrack album for the Fox sci-fi comedy drama The Orville. The album features selections of the original music from the show’s first season composed by Bruce Broughton (Silverado, Young Sherlock Holmes, Miracle on 34th Street) who wrote the series’ main titles theme and scored the first episode, John Debney (The Passion of the Christ, The Jungle Book, Elf), Joel McNeely (A Million Ways to Die in the West, Iron Will, American Dad) and Andrew Cottee. The 2-CD set will be released in early 2019 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon.

Premiering today is the animated mini-series Watership Down directed by Noam Murro and featuring the voices of James McAvoy, Nicholas Hoult, Ben Kingsley, John Boyega, Gemma Arterton, Tom Wilkinson, Olivia Colman and Anne-Marie Duff. The show’s original score is composed by Federico Jusid (The Secret in Their Eyes, Kidnap, Life Itself). Decca Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score, as well as a song by Emeli Sandé (click here for the full album details) and Capitol Records has released an original song written for the project by Sam Smith (click here for more information). The series is premiering in the U.S. on Netflix.
Soundtrack Album for ‘Valley of the Boom’ to Be Released
Sony Classical will release a soundtrack album for the National Geographic original series Valley of the Boom. The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Emmy Award winners Kyle Dixon & Michael Stein (Stranger Things, Native Son). The soundtrack will be released on January 11, 2019 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon (digital version) and here (CD version). Valley of the Boom is created by Matthew Carnahan and stars Bradley Whitford, Steve Zahn, Lamorne Morris, John Karna, Dakota Shapiro and Oliver Cooper. The drama follows the birth of Silicon Valley through the dot-com bust as the characters experience the rise, fall and revival of modern-day tech.
Sam Smith’s ‘Watership Down’ Theme Song ‘Fire on Fire’ Released
Capitol Records has released the original song Fire on Fire from the BBC/Netflix animated mini-series Watership Down. The track is performed by Sam Smith who also co-wrote the track with Steve Mac. As previously reported, Decca Records is releasing a separate soundtrack album featuring the 4-parter’s score by Federico Jusid today. Ludwig Goransson to Score ‘Star Wars’ Live-Action Series ‘The Mandalorian’
StarWars.Com has announced that Ludwig Göransson (Black Panther, Creed, Venom, Community) will compose the score for The Mandalorian, the first ever live-action Star Wars series. The show is written and executive produced by Jon Favreau (The Jungle Book, Elf, Iron Man 2) and stars Pedro Pascal in the title role as a lone Mandalorian gunfighter, alongside Gina Carano, Giancarlo Esposito, Emily Swallow, Carl Weathers, Omid Abtahi, Werner Herzog and Nick Nolte.
Miles Hankins Scoring HBO’s ‘The Many Lives of Nick Buoniconti’
Miles Hankins (The Night Before, Len and Company) is scoring the upcoming HBO documentary The Many Lives of Nick Buoniconti. The film is directed by Bentley Weiner and centers on the 77-year old NFL Hall of Famer, whose story encompasses turns as a linebacker, lawyer, sports agent, broadcaster, executive and philanthropist. Liev Schreiber is narrating the HBO Sports production, which is executive produced by Peter Nelson and Rick Bernstein.
Daniel Pemberton Scoring HBO’s ‘Brexit’
Daniel Pemberton has announced that he has composed the original score for the upcoming HBO original movie Brexit. The film is directed by Toby Haynes and stars Benedict Cumberbatch as Dominic Cummings, who spearheaded the Vote Leave campaign and Rory Kinnear as Craig Oliver, Prime Minister David Cameron’s director of communications and head of the Remain campaign. The drama goes behind the scenes, revealing the personalities, strategies and feuds of the Leave and Remain campaigns. James Graham (A Brilliant Young Mind) wrote the script and is also executive producing the HBO Films, BBC Studios and Channel 4 production with Juliette Howell (London Spy) and Tessa Ross.
