Dustin O’Hallloran (Lion, Like Crazy, Transparent, The Old Guard, Ammonite, The Hate U Give) & Herdís Stefánsdóttir (The Sun Is Also a Star, We’re Here) have signed on to score the upcoming drama Swan Song. The film is written and directed by Benjamin Cleary (Stutterer) and stars Mahershala Ali, Naomie Harris, Awkwafina, Glenn Close and Adam Beach. The movie is set in the near future and follows a loving husband and father who is diagnosed with a terminal illness and is being presented with a controversial alternative solution to replace himself with a carbon copy clone.

Keaton Henson Scoring Channel 5’s ‘Anne Boleyn’
Singer/songwriter Keaton Henson has recently scored the new Channel 5 limited series Anne Boleyn. The show is written by Eve Hedderwick Turner and stars Jodie Turner-Smith in the title role, alongside Mark Stanley, Paapa Essiedu, Amanda Burton, Thalissa Teixeira, Barry Ward and Jamael Westman. The 3-parter directed by Lynsey Miller (Deadwater Fell) explores the Queen of England’s final months as she struggles to secure a future for her daughter and to challenge the powerful patriarchy closing in around her. Faye Ward (Wild Rose, Stan & Ollie, Suffragette) and Hannah Farrell are producing the project for Fable Pictures and historian Dan Jones serves as the executive producer.
Soundtrack Album for Starz’s ‘Run the World’ to Be Released
Loma Vista Recordings will release a soundtrack album for the Starz original series Run the World. The album features selections of the original music from the show’s first season composed by jazz pianist/record producer Robert Glasper (The Photograph, Miles Ahead) & Derrick Hodge. The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, June 1 and will be available to stream/download here. Run the World is created by Leigh Davenport and stars Bresha Webb, Amber Stevens West, Corbin Reid, Andrea Bordeaux, Tonya Pinkins, Erika Alexander, Stephen Bishop, Tosin Morohunfola, Jay Walker and Nick Sagar. The comedy drama centers on a group of Black women in their 30s who work, live and play in Harlem as they strive for world domination.
Songs from ‘Madagascar: A Little Wild’ Soundtrack Released
Back Lot Music has released three songs from DreamWorks Animation Television’s Madagascar: A Little Wild. The 3-track single features the original songs Be Proud (from the Season 3 episode Whatever Floats Your Float) performed by Ezra Menas, Shaylin B, Cruz Martin, Amir O’Neil & Luke Lowe, Shine performed by Shaylin B & Joey Lawrence and Keep Going performed by Amir O’Neil, Tucker Chandler, Shaylin B & Luke Lowe. Soundtrack Album for HBO’s ‘Mare of Easttown’ Released
WaterTower Music has released a soundtrack album for the HBO limited series Mare of Easttown. The album features the show’s original score composed by Lele Marchitelli (The Great Beauty, The Young Pope, The New Pope, Loro). Also included are three songs performed by actress Angourie Rice. The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music stores. Mare of Easttown is created by Brad Ingelsby and stars Kate Winslet, Evan Peters, Julianne Nicholson, Jean Smart, Rice, Guy Pearce, David Denman, Joe Tippett, John Douglas Thompson, Cailee Spaeny, Patrick Murney, James McArdle, Sosie Bacon and Neal Huff. The 7-part drama directed by Craig Zobel follows a small-town Pennsylvania detective who investigates a local murder as life crumbles around her.
Curtis Moore Scoring Fox’s ‘HouseBroken’
Composer/songwriter Curtis Moore is scoring the new Fox animated comedy HouseBroken. The show is created by Gabrielle Allan, Jennifer Crittenden & Clea DuVall and features the voices of Lisa Kudrow, Tony Hale, Will Forte, Jason Mantzoukas, Sam Richardson, Nat Faxon, DuVall herself and Sharon Horgan. The series follows a group of neighborhood pets and stray animals as they work through their issues inside and outside their therapy group. Allan, Crittenden (Everybody Loves Raymond) & DuVall (Happiest Season) are also executive producing the Kapital Entertainment and FOX Entertainment production with Horgan, Clelia Mountford (Frank of Ireland, Motherland), Aaron Kaplan (The Chi, American Housewife) and Dana Honor (A Million Little Things).

Premiering on Thursday, June 3, is the British TV series We Are Lady Parts created by Nida Manzoor and starring Anjana Vasan, Sarah Kameela Impey, Faith Omole, Juliette Motamed, Lucie Shorthouse, Zaqi Ismail and Aiysha Hart. Manzoor also co-wrote the show’s original songs with Shez Manzoor, Sanya Manzoor and Benjamin Fregin. Back Lot Music has released a soundtrack EP featuring six songs from the show last week. Check out our soundtrack announcement for the full details and to learn more about the comedy, which premiered earlier this month in the UK on Channel 4 and will make its U.S. debut on Peacock.
Also premiering on Thursday is the second season of the Paramount+ original series Why Women Kill created by Marc Cherry and starring Allison Tolman, Nick Frost, Lana Parrilla, Jordane Christie, B.K. Cannon, Matthew Daddario and Veronica Falcón. Steve Jablonsky (Transformers, The Island, Pain & Gain, Deepwater Horizon, Skyscraper, Desperate Housewives, Ender’s Game) has composed the original music of the new season. Rogers based on his Tony Award-winning play of the same title and stars Ruth Wilson, Andrew Scott, Salim Dau, Jeff Wilbusch, Waleed Zuaiter, Igal Naor, Rotem Keinan, Dov Glickman, Itzik Cohen, Tobias Zilliacus and Sasson Gabai. The drama directed by Bartlett Sher follows the secret back-channel talks, unlikely friendships, and quiet heroics of a group of Israelis and Palestinians, plus one Norwegian couple, that led to the 1993 Oslo Peace Accords.
Jeff Grace Scoring Netflix’s ‘Sweet Tooth’
Composer Jeff Grace (In a Valley of Violence, The House of the Devil, Certain Women, Meek’s Cutoff, Night Moves) is reuniting with writer/director Jim Mickle on the new Netflix original series Sweet Tooth. The show is developed by Mickle & Beth Schwartz based on the DC comic book series by Jeff Lemire and stars Christian Convery, Nonso Anozie, Adeel Akhtar, Stefania LaVie Owen, Aliza Vellani, Dania Ramirez, Neil Sandilands, Will Forte and James Brolin. The fantasy drama tells the story of a lovable boy who’s half-human and half-deer on an adventure across a post-apocalyptic world as he searches for a new beginning with a gruff protector.
