Fernando Velazquez (The Orphanage, The Impossible, A Monster Calls, Crimson Peak, Mama, Devil, Hercules) has composed the original score for the new Showtime limited series Ghosts of Beirut. The show is created by Avi Issacharoff & Lior Raz (Fauda) and stars Dina Shihabi, Dermot Mulroney, Garret Dillahunt, Iddo Goldberg, Hisham Suleiman, Amir Khoury and Rafi Gavron. The 4-part spy drama, which features an innovative narrative approach augmented by journalistic research and documentary elements, reveals the origins of 21-year old Mughniyeh (aka “The Ghost”) who emerged from obscurity and was responsible for more American deaths than any other individual prior to 9/11.

Samuel Sim (The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance, The Spanish Princess, The Bay, Anne, The Halcyon, The Long Call, Home Fires) is the composer of the new ITV drama Maryland. The show is created by Suranne Jones & Anne-Marie O’Connor and stars Jones herself, Eve Best, Stockard Channing, George Costigan, Dean Lennox Kelly, Hugh Quarshie and Andrew Knott. The 3-part series revolves around two sisters who have grown apart over the years, but through tragic events learn to love and respect one another all over again.
Soundtrack Album for Apple TV+’s ‘Frog and Toad’ Released
Platoon has released a soundtrack album for the Apple TV+ animated series Frog and Toad. The album features the original songs and selections of the original score from the show’s first season composed by Mark Evitts. Also included is the series’ theme song by Robert Francis (listen to the full track below). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on most major digital music platforms, including Amazon. Frog and Toad is based on the Caldecott and Newbery Honor-winning four-book series by Arnold Lobel and features the voices of Nat Faxon & Kevin Michael Richardson in the title roles, as well as Ron Funches, Fortune Feimster, Margaret Cho, Aparna Nancherla, Stephen Tobolowsky, Cole Escola, Yvette Nicole Brown, John Hodgman, Tom Kenny and Selene Luna.
Matthew Margeson Scoring Peacock’s ‘Bupkis’
Matthew Margeson (Kingsman, Rocketman, Eddie the Eagle, Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children, Pam & Tommy) is scoring the new Peacock original series Bupkis. The show is written by Pete Davidson, showrunner Judah Miller (Crashing) & Dave Sirus (The King of Staten Island) and stars Davidson himself, Edie Falco and Joe Pesci. The comedy follows Davidson as he attempts to work through unique family dynamics and the complexities of fame to form meaningful relationships.

The album features the original songs from the show’s second season written by Cinco Paul and performed by cast members including Cecily Strong, Keegan-Michael Key, Tituss Burgess, Aaron Tveit, Dove Cameron, Kristin Chenoweth, Alan Cumming, Martin Short, Ariana DeBose, Jane Krakowski, Ann Harada, Jaime Camil, Patrick Page & others. The soundtrack will be released digitally this Wednesday, May 3 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Milan Records has previously released six EPs and a full soundtrack album featuring the songs and Christopher Willis’ score from the first season of the musical comedy back in 2021.
‘Thunder in My Heart’ Soundtrack Album Released
Hoob Records has released the first soundtrack album for the Viaplay original series Thunder in My Heart. The album features selections of the original music from the show’s second season composed by Per Störby Jutbring (My Skinny Sister, Star Boys). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on all major digital music platforms, including Amazon. Thunder in My Heart is created by Amy Deasismont and stars Deasismont herself, Alexander Abdallah, Julia Lyskov, Gustaf Hammarsten and Helen Sjöholm. The Swedish drama follows a group of friends who are confronted with the unexpected demands of adulthood while trying to come to terms with their own identities, their passions and the past.
‘Mr. Robot’ Volume 8 Soundtrack Album Details
The details of the final soundtrack album for the USA original series Mr. Robot have been revealed. The album features selections of the original music from the last seven episodes of the show’s fourth and final season composed by Emmy Award winner Mac Quayle (Feud: Bette and Joan, American Horror Story, American Crime Story, Gaslit, Pose). The Volume 8 soundtrack will be released digitally on May 9, 2023 by Lakeshore Records and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. The label has previously released seven soundtrack albums featuring the composer’s music from all four seasons of the show.

Premiering today is the Paramount+ original series Fatal Attraction developed by Alexandra Cunningham and starring Joshua Jackson, Lizzy Caplan, Amanda Peet, Toby Huss, Brian Goodman, Alyssa Jirrels and Reno Wilson. The show’s original music is composed by Craig DeLeon (The Last Days of Ptolemy Grey, Velma, End of the Road, Music, The Last Survivors). The thriller, which is based on Adrian Lyne’s 80s hit movie of the same title, will be available to stream exclusively on Paramount+.
Also premiering today is the British limited series Tom Jones written by Gwyneth Hughes based on Henry Fielding’s novel The History of Tom Jones, A Foundling and starring Solly McLeod, Sophie Wilde, Hannah Waddingham, Shirley Henderson, James Fleet, Felicity Montagu, Alun Armstrong, James Wilbraham, Pearl Mackie and Tamzin Merchant. Matthew Slater (Grace, Endeavour) has composed the show’s original music.
