Rafael May (Black Water,I Am Woman, Sample People, Hearts and Bones) has released a soundtrack album for the Foxtel & ITVX original series The Twelve. The album features selections of the composer’s original score from the show and is now available to stream/download on all major digital music services, including Amazon. The Twelve is based on the 2019 Belgian series De twaalf created by Sanne Nuyens & Bert Van Dael and stars Sam Neill, Marta Dusseldorp and Kate Mulvany. The 10-part drama tells the story of twelve ordinary Australians who are selected for jury duty in a murder trial, in which a woman stands accused of killing her teenage niece.

Premiering on Tuesday, May 16, is the HBO original documentary series Angel City directed by Arlene Nelson about the LA-based professional women’s soccer team, Angel City Football Club (ACFC). The show’s original music is composed by Ezinma (Stranger at the Gate, The Times of Bill Cunningham). Dan Marocco Scoring Freevee’s ‘Primo’
Dan Marocco (Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Demonic, Brotherhood, Boys of Abu Ghraib, Flipped) is scoring the new Freevee original series Primo. The show is created by Shea Serrano and stars Ignacio Diaz-Silverio, Johnny Rey Diaz, Christina Vidal, Martin Martinez, Jonathan Medina, Henri Esteve, Nigel Siwabessy, Carlos Santos, Efrain Villa and Stakiah Lynn Washington. The coming-of-age comedy follows a wide-eyed teenager as he balances college aspirations, societal expectations, and a hectic home life on the south side of San Antonio.
First Song from Netflix’s ‘Black Knight’ Soundtrack Released
Netflix Music has released the first track from the soundtrack for the streamer’s South Korean original series Black Knight. Available to stream/download on all major digital music services is the lead single performed by Primary (who also wrote and produced the track), Tablo (who provided the lyrics) & Kriz. Hans Zimmer to Contribute Music to NBC’s ‘The Americas’
NBC announced today that Hans Zimmer (The Lion King, Dune, The Dark Knight, Gladiator, Inception, Interstellar) will contribute music to the upcoming natural history event series The Americas. The 10-parter is narrated by Tom Hanks and will employ revolutionary filmmaking technology that will showcase the wonders, fragilities and secrets of the Americas – Earth’s largest landmass and the only one to stretch between both poles – and reveal untold wildlife stories that deeply connect with millions around the world.
‘Doogie Kamealoha, M.D.’ Season 2 Soundtrack EP Released
Hollywood Records has released a new soundtrack EP for the Disney+ original series Doogie Kamealoha, M.D. The 4-track EP features four songs from the show’s second season performed by series composer Wendy Wang , including two original songs written by Wang and covers of Death Cab for Cutie’s I Will Follow You Into the Dark and Dixie Chicks’ Wide Open Spaces. Jeff Richmond & Giancarlo Vulcano are the composers of the new Netflix animated series Mulligan. The show is created by Robert Carlock & Sam Means and features the voices of Nat Faxon, Dana Carvey, Tina Fey, Sam Richardson, Phil LaMarr, Chrissy Teigen, Ronny Chieng, Rachel Dratch, Daniel Radcliffe, Ayo Edebiri and Kevin Michael Richardson. The animated comedy is set in a world, in which most of Earth is destroyed by aliens and follows a group of survivors as they try to rebuild what’s left of America.
‘Daisy Jones & the Six’ Score Album to Be Released
Arts Music will release a new soundtrack album for the Prime Video original series Daisy Jones & the Six. The album features selections of the show’s original score composed by Tom Howe (Ted Lasso, Shrinking, Early Man, Book Club: The Next Chapter, A Shaun the Sheep Movie: Farmageddon). Platoon will release a soundtrack album for the Apple TV+ original series City on Fire. The album features selections of the original score from the show’s first season composed by Jason Hill (Mindhunter, The Confession Killer, Extrapolations, Voir, Love, Death & Robots) . Also included are the original songs from the fictional band Ex Post Facto/Ex Nihilo (produced by Hill & Abe Seiferth), as well as tracks by Slow Pulp, Muzz and Been Stellar. Capitol Records has released the seventh soundtrack for the Paramount+ original series Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies. The EP features the original songs from the musical comedy’s seventh episode (co-written by executive music producer Justin Tranter): High Rollin & Hit Me Again performed by Johnathan Nieves and Pulling Strings performed by Jason Schmidt.
