Lee Mendelson Film Productions has announced the world premiere release of the complete score from the 1973 animated special A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving written by Charles M. Schulz and directed by Bill Melendez & Phil Roman. The album features the original music from the 10th Peanuts special composed by Vince Guaraldi (A Charlie Brown Christmas, It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown, A Boy Named Charlie Brown), including previously unreleased bonus material. ‘Mech Cadets’ Soundtrack Album Details
Netflix Music will release a soundtrack album for the streamer’s original animated series Mech Cadets. The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Max Aruj (Crawl, The Ice Road, iBoy, The Tank, Lansky). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, August 10 and will be available to stream/download on all major digital music services, including Amazon. Three first tracks have already been released as a digital single last week. Mech Cadets is based on the Mech Cadet Yu graphic novels created by Greg Pak & Takeshi Miyazawa and features the voices of Brandon Soo Hoo, Aparna Brielle, Victoria Grace, Daniel Dae Kim, Anairis Quiñones, Robbie Daymond, Josh Sundquist and Ming-Na Wen. The animated sci-fi action series tells the story of an underdog teen who joins a group of young Cadets who’ve been chosen to bond with Robo Mechs from space and defend Earth against alien invaders.
‘High School Musical: The Musical: The Series’ Season 4 Soundtrack Album Details
The full details of the soundtrack album for the fourth season of the Disney+ original series High School Musical: The Musical: The Series have been revealed. The album features the songs from the final season of the show performed by cast members Joshua Bassett, Sofia Wylie, Julia Lester, Matt Cornett, Frankie Rodriguez, Dara Reneé, Liamani Segura & others. Also included is the main title “theme” by series composer Gabriel Mann (Modern Family, A Million Little Things). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, August 9 by Walt Disney Records and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. The label has previously released albums featuring the songs from Season 1, Season 2 & Season 3, as well as the 2020 holiday special.
Dan Deacon Scoring Apple TV+’s ‘The Changeling’
Dan Deacon (Hustle, Ascension, Strawberry Mansion, Wedding Season, Twixt, All Light, Everywhere) is scoring the upcoming Apple TV+ original series The Changeling. The show is developed by Kelly Marcel (Cruella, Venom) based on the bestselling book of the same name by Victor LaValle and stars LaKeith Stanfield, Clark Backo, Adina Porter, Samuel T. Herring, Alexis Louder and Jared Abrahamson. The 8-part drama is being described as a “horror story, a parenthood fable and a perilous odyssey through New York City.”
Philip Glass’ New Arrangement of ‘Mishima’ from ‘Bob’s Burgers’ Released
Orange Mountain Music has released Philip Glass‘ arrangement of his music from Paul Schrader’s 1985 feature Mishima: A Life in Four Chapters from the Fox animated series Bob’s Burgers. The Academy Award-nominated composer of such films The Hours, Notes on a Scandal, Koyaanisqatsi, Kundun & The Illusionist has created a new arrangement for the Season 13 episode The Plight Before Christmas. The track is now available to stream/download on all major digital music services, including Amazon, and can also be checked out after the jump.
Jack Halama Scoring Netflix’s ‘Who Is Erin Carter?’
Jack Halama (Traces, Kindred, Rogue, Too Close) is the composer of the new British Netflix limited series Who Is Erin Carter? The show is created by Jack Lothian (Strike Back, The Halcyon) and stars Evin Ahmad, Sean Teale, Denise Gough, Indica Watson, Douglas Henshall, Susannah Fielding, Pep Ambròs and Charlotte Vega. The 7-part thriller revolves around a British woman whose tranquil life in Barcelona spirals out of control when an armed robbery at a supermarket exposes her secret.

Premiering tonight is the second season of the HBO original series Winning Time: The Rise of the Lakers Dynasty created by Max Borenstein & Jim Hecht and starring John C. Reilly, Quincy Isaiah, Jason Clarke, Adrien Brody, Gaby Hoffmann, Hadley Robinson, Jason Segel, Michael Chiklis and Rob Morgan. Jeff Beal (House of Cards, Rome, Monk, Carnivale, Pollock) has joined Robert Glasper (who shared scoring credit on Season 1 with Nicholas Britell) to co-score the new season. The drama will air Sunday nights on HBO and will also be available to stream on Max.
Premiering on Wednesday, August 9, is the Apple TV+ original animated series Strange Planet created by Dan Harmon & Nathan W. Pyle and starring Tunde Adebimpe, Demi Adejuyigbe, Danny Pudi, Lori Tan Chinn and Hannah Einbinder. Isabella Summers (Little Fires Everywhere, Lady Chatterley’s Lover, The Offer, Physical, Sex/Life, Call Jane) has composed the show’s original music. The EP features five songs from the second season of the show written and performed by Primary, Kevin Oh, Kriz and Meego. The soundtrack is now available to stream/download here.
