Universal Music has released a new soundtrack album for the Channel 4 & Peacock original series We Are Lady Parts. The soundtrack features the songs from the first two seasons of the show performed by the titular band Lady Parts, including original tracks written by show creator Nida Manzoor, Shez Manzoor, Sanya Manzoor & Benjamin Fregin, as well several cover versions. The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Emmy Award winner Leo Birenberg (Cobra Kai, Bottoms, Weird: The Al Yankovic Story, Son of Zorn, Florida Man, Obliterated, Tigtone, Twisted Metal) who previously scored the streamer’s Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous. The 6-part crime drama is set in 1980s New York and follows the desperate search of a father when his nine year old son disappears one morning on the way to school.
‘ACMA:GAME’ Soundtrack Album to Be Released
Vap will release a soundtrack album for the Japanese action survival thriller series ACMA:GAME. The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Yugo Kanno (Psycho Pass, JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, Batman Ninja, PLUTO, Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness, Ajin).The soundtrack will be released digitally on June 5 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon, where you can also check out the track list. A CD version is also being released in Japan. ACMA:GAME is based on the manga of the same title written by Meeb and illustrated by Koji Megumi and stars Shotaro Mamiya, Juri Tanaka and Kotone Furukawa. The Nippon TV production takes place in a devil’s realm where contestants are challenged to conquer the world by collecting 99 keys and follows a man desperate to trace down the killer of his father who must put his brains to the ultimate test as the psychological warfare begins.

Shogun Music has released a digital version of the soundtrack album for the 1984 British miniseries The Jewel in the Crown created by Christopher Morahan, Jim O’Brien, Ken Taylor & Irene Shubik and starring Art Malik, Geraldine James, Saeed Jaffrey, Charles Dance, Tim Pigott-Smith and Peggy Ashcroft. The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Academy Award nominee and Emmy Award winner George Fenton (Dangerous Liaisons, Anna and the King, The Blue Planet, Groundhog Day, Hitch, Ever After, Gandhi). World Premiere Release of Jim Dooley’s Score from DreamWorks Animation’s ‘First Flight’ Announced
Dragon’s Domain Records has released The Jim Dooley Collection – Volume 1, which includes the world premiere release of the score for DreamWorks Animation’s 2006 short First Flight written and directed by Cameron Hood and Kyle Jefferson. The soundtrack also features four additional titles composed by Dooley (Pushing Daisies, Obsessed, A Series of Unfortunate Events, When a Stranger Calls, Walker): the industrial film The Mercedes-Benz Axor, the 2002 short Untitled: 003 – Embryo, the 2001 TV movie Area 52, as well as his demos written for the 2014 Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey reboot. ‘A Town Called Victoria’ Soundtrack Albums Released
Over the last few weeks, Eastern Glow Recordings has released three soundtrack album for the PBS original documentary series A Town Called Victoria. The albums features the show’s original music composed by The Album Leaf (aka Jimmy LaValle) (Synchronic, The Endless, Something in the Dirt, Spring, The F**k-It List, 3022). A Town Called Victoria is directed by Li Liu and chronicles the titular town, its activists and politicians as they must overcome its age-old political, racial, and economic divides to find a collective way forward when the local mosque is burned to the ground in an apparent hate crime.
Lucas Vidal Scoring Apple TV+’s ‘Women in Blue’
Lucas Vidal (Fast & Furious 6, Elite, The Raven, Palm Trees in the Snow, The Quiet Ones, Welcome to Eden, The Cold Light of Day) has composed the original score for the upcoming Mexican Apple TV+ original series Women in Blue (Las Azules). The show is created by Fernando Rovzar (Monarca, Control Z) & Pablo Aramendi (All Wrong) and stars Bárbara Mori, Ximena Sariñana, Natalia Téllez, Amorita Rasgado, Miguel Rodarte, Leonardo Sbaraglia, Christian Tappan, and Horacio García Rojas. The 10-part crime drama is set in 1970 and tells the true story of four women who defy the ultraconservative norms of the time and join Mexico’s first female police force, only to discover that their squad is a publicity stunt to distract the media from a brutal serial killer.
‘The Sympathizer’ Soundtrack Album Released
WaterTower Music has released a soundtrack album for the HBO limited series The Sympathizer. The album features the show’s original score composed by Cho Young-Wuk (Oldboy, The Handmaiden, Lady Vengeance, Thirst, The Little Drummer Girl, Decision to Leave). Premiering on Wednesday, May 29, is the Hulu documentary series Camden directed by Asif Kapadia and executive produced by Dua Lipa, Dukagjin Lipa, Simon Chinn, Jonathan Chinn, Suzanne Lavery, Nick Shymansky, Jasper Waller-Bridge and Ben Friedman. The show’s original score is composed by Toydrum (Slow Horses, Detour, Prevenge, Three Pines, Platform 7, The Banishing, Future World, Sweetheart). The Lightbox production, which reveals the untold stories of how the lives and careers of some of the world’s most iconic artists were influenced by this corner of London, is premiering in the U.S. on Hulu and in most international markets on Disney+.
Also premiering on Wednesday is the HBO original documentary Moviepass, Moviecrash directed by Muta’Ali about the rise and implosion of the theatrical movie subscription app as told through the eyes of the visionary co-founders. Max Aruj (Crawl, The Old Guard 2, The Ice Road, iBoy, The Tank, Mech Cadets, Lansky) has composed the film’s original music.
