The movie is directed Andrés Couturier and features the voices of Lily Collins, Ian McShane and Toby Kebbell. The film follows a teenager with a vivid imagination who finds himself magically transported via his Grandma’s retro theme park to the land of Groovynham where he meets a princess. Danny Elfman to Score Tim Burton’s ‘Dumbo’
Danny Elfman confirmed during a press interview promoting his Danny Elfman’s Music From the Films of Tim Burton concert in Mexico City later this month that he will be reuniting with director Tim Burton on the upcoming live-action adaptation of Disney’s Dumbo. The movie starring Colin Farrell, Eva Green, Michael Keaton, Danny DeVito and Alan Arkin is based on the studio’s 1941 animated classic of the same title about the young elephant with extraordinarily large ears who develops the skill to fly. Ehren Kruger (The Ring, Arlington Road, Scream 3) wrote the screenplay and is also producing the project with Katterli Frauenfelder, Derek Frey and Justin Springer (Prom).
Toydrum to Score James Franco’s & Bruce Bruce Cheung’s ‘Future World’
Toydrum (aka Pablo Clements and James Griffith) have been tapped to score the upcoming sci-fi thriller Future World. The film is directed by James Franco (The Disaster Artist) & Bruce Cheung (Don’t Come Back from the Moon) and stars Milla Jovovich, Suki Waterhouse, Lucy Liu, Snoop Dogg and Method Man. The movie is based on original short story by Franco about a prince and a robot who travel across the violent and desolate Wastelands in a journey of self-discovery. Cheung and Jay Davis co-wrote the screenplay. Iervolino Bacardi and Monika Bacardi (o the Bone, Black Butterfly) are producing the AMBI Distribution production with Vince Jolivette (Palo Alto, In Dubious Battle) and Davis.
Duncan Thum to Score ‘The Iron Orchard’
Duncan Thum has been hired to score the upcoming period drama The Iron Orchard. The film is directed by Ty Roberts and stars Lane Garrison, Austin Nichols, Ali Cobrin, Timothy Lee DePriest, Lew Temple, Allan McLeod, Temple Baker and Rooster McConaughey. The movie is based on the novel of the same name by Tom Pendleton and tells the story of an unsophisticated and unskilled young man thrust into the brutal West Texas oilfields circa 1939, who ultimately becomes a formidable wildcatter. Gerry de Leon (Opening Night) wrote the screenplay.
John Ottman & David Buckley Scoring Fox’s ‘The Gifted’
John Ottman and David Buckley are scoring the new Fox drama The Gifted. The show is developed by Matt Nix (APB, Burn Notice) based on Marvel’s X-Men properties and stars Stephen Moyer, Amy Acker, Sean Teale, Jamie Chung, Coby Bell, Emma Dumont, Blair Redford, Natalie Alyn Lind and Percy Hynes White. The series tells the story of a suburban couple whose ordinary lives are rocked by the sudden discovery that their children possess mutant powers. Bryan Singer (X-Men, The Usual Suspects) has directed the pilot episode and is executive producing the 20th Century Fox and Marvel Television production with Nix, Lauren Shuler Donner (Deadpool, Logan), Simon Kinberg (The Martian, Logan), Jeph Loeb & Jim Chory (Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Legion).
Alex Wurman Scoring Ron Shelton’s ‘Just Getting Started’
Alex Wurman is composing the music for the upcoming comedy Just Getting Started. The film is written and directed by Ron Shelton (Tin Cup, White Men Can’t Jump) and stars Morgan Freeman, Tommy Lee Jones, Rene Russo, Joe Pantoliano, Glenne Headley, Sheryl Lee Ralph, Elizabeth Ashley, George Wallace, Graham Beckel, Jane Seymour and Johnny Mathis. The movie follows an ex-FBI agent and an ex-mob lawyer in the witness protection program who have to put aside their petty rivalry on the golf course to fend off a mob hit.

Dustin O’Halloran has been tapped to score the upcoming drama Puzzle. The film is directed by Marc Turtletaub (producer of Little Miss Sunshine, Loving & Safety Not Guaranteed) and stars Kelly Macdonald, Irrfan Khan, David Denman, Bubba Weiler, Austin Abrams and Liv Hewson. The movie revolves around suburban mother whose world is consumed with caring for the men in her family and whose word begins to open when she discovers she has a gift for assembling puzzles. Annie Baker and Oren Moverman (The Messenger, Love & Mercy) wrote the screenplay based on the 2010 Argentine film Rompecabezas.
Graham Reynolds to Score Richard Linklater’s ‘Where’d You Go, Bernadette?’
Graham Reynolds is set to reteam with director Richard Linklater on the upcoming comedy drama Where’d You Go, Bernadette?. The film starring Cate Blanchett, Kristen Wiig, Billy Crudup, Troian Bellisario, Judy Greer and Laurence Fishburne is based on Maria Semple’s novel of the same title and follows an architect-turned-recluse who goes missing just prior to a family vacation. Linklater also co-wrote the screenplay with Holly Gent Palmo & Vincent Palmo Jr. (Me and Orson Welles) based on an earlier version by Scott Neustadter & Michael H. Weber (500 Days of Summer, The Fault in Our Stars).

The film is directed by McG (Charlie’s Angels, Cruel Intentions, Terminator Salvation) and stars Bella Thorne, Robbie Amell, Samara Weaving, Andrew Bachelor, Hana Mae Lee and Judah Lewis. The movie follows a lonely, 12-year-old boy who falls in love with his hot babysitter only to discover that she’s part of a satanic cult that wants to kill him. Brian Duffield (Insurgent, Jane Got a Gun) wrote the screenplay.
