Nick Laird-Clowes (About Time, Fierce People, The Invisible Circus) is composing the original score for the upcoming documentary Marianne & Leonard: Words of Love. The film is directed by Nick Broomfield (Tales of the Grim Sleeper) and tells the story of enduring love between Leonard Cohen and his Norwegian muse Marianne Ihlen. The movie follows their relationship from the early days in Greece to how their love evolved when Leonard became a successful musician. Broomfield is also producing the project with his regular producing partners Marc Hoeferlin & Shani Hinton and Kyle Gibbon.

Composer Enis Rotthoff is reteaming with director David Wnendt on the upcoming drama The Sunlit Night. The film marks the director’s English-language debut and stars Jenny Slate, Zach Galifianakis, Alex Sharp, Gillian Anderson, Fridjov Sáheim and David Paymer. The movie follows an American painter and a Russian émigré who find each other in the Arctic circle and discover a future and family that they didn’t know they had. Rebecca Dinerstein wrote the screenplay based on her own novel.
Michael Yezerski Scoring Patrick Brice’s ‘Corporate Animals’
Michael Yezerski is scoring the upcoming comedy Corporate Animals. The film is directed by Patrick Brice (The Overnight, Creep) and stars Demi Moore, Ed Helms, Jessica Williams and Karan Soni. The movie revolves around an egotistical CEO as she orders her staff to attend a corporate team-building caving weekend in New Mexico, and disaster strikes suddenly, trapping them all underground. Sam Bain (Peep Show, Ill Behaviour) wrote the screenplay. Keith Calder & Jess Calder (The Guest, Blair Witch) are producing the project for Snoot Entertainment, alongside Mike Falbo & Helms (The Clapper) for Pacific Electric.
Julian Wass Scoring Alex Lehmann’s ‘Paddleton’
Composer Julian Wass (Hit and Run, The Miseducation of Cameron Post) is reuniting with director Alex Lehmann on the upcoming Netflix original movie Paddleton. The film starring Mark Duplass, Ray Romano, Ravi Patel and Christine Woods centers on the bromance between two misfit neighbors, which becomes an unexpectedly emotional journey when one of them is diagnosed with terminal cancer. Lehmann also co-wrote the screenplay with Duplass (who also serves as an executive producer alongside his brother Jay).

Screenwriter Zack Stentz has announced that Bear McCreary is the composer of the upcoming sci-fi adventure Rim of the World. The film is directed by McG (Charlie’s Angels, Terminator Salvation) and stars Jack Gore, Miya Cech, Benjamin Flores Jr., Alessio Scalzotto, King Bach (aka Andrew Bachelor), Tony Cavalero, Rudy Mancuso, Carl McDowell, Chris Wylde, David Theune, Punam Patel, Michael Beach, Jason Rogel, Lynn Collins and Annabeth Gish. The movie centers around four misfit teenagers who become unlikely allies when their summer camp experience is cut short by an alien invasion.
‘Great Bear Rainforest’ to Feature Theme by Hans Zimmer & Score by Anže Rozman
MacGillivray Freeman Films has announced that Hans Zimmer has composed the main title theme for the upcoming IMAX documentary Great Bear Rainforest. The film’s score is composed by Anže Rozman for Bleeding Fingers Music and produced by Russell Emanuel. The movie is directed by Ian McAllister, narrated by Ryan Reynolds and will feature unprecedented close-up footage of Canada’s Great Bear Rainforest, which is home to an immense array of wildlife, including the fabled all-white spirit bear and the indigenous First Nations.
Lorne Balfe to Reteam with Matt Tyrnauer on ‘Where’s My Roy Cohn?’
Composer Lorne Balfe (Mission: Impossible – Fallout, The LEGO Batman Movie, Pacific Rim Uprising, Genius) is reteaming with director Matt Tyrnauer on the upcoming documentary Where’s My Roy Cohn?. The movie focuses on Rob Cohn, the American lawyer best known for being Senator Joseph McCarthy’s chief counsel during the Army–McCarthy hearings in 1954 and whose polarizing, brass-knuckle strategies set the stage for the rise of Donald Trump. Tyrnauer (Scotty and the Secret History of Hollywood, Valentino: The Last Emperor) is also producing the project with Corey Reeser, Marie Brenner and Andrea Lewis.

Mica Levi (Jackie, Under the Skin, Marjorie Prime) has recently composed the original music for the upcoming drama Monos. The movie revolves around a group of eight kids with guns who watch over a hostage and a conscripted milk cow at a faraway mountaintop.
