Polydor will release a soundtrack album for the animated feature Postman Pat: The Movie. The album features the songs from the film by the film’s voice cast including Ronan Keating who provides the title character’s singing voice and Rupert Grint. Also included is Peter Gabriel’s Big Time, The Saturdays’ cover of Please Mr Postman, Jessie J’s It’s My Party, The Wanted’s We Own the Night and more songs. Also featured is a suite from the movie’s original score composed by Rupert Gregson-Williams (Over the Hedge, Bee Movie). The soundtrack will be released in the UK on May 19, 2014. Postman Pat: The Movie is directed by Mike Disa (Hoodwinked Too! Hood vs. Evil) and also features the voices of Stephen Mangan, Jim Broadbent, Kate Winslet and David Tennant. The film is based on the TV series of the same title and follows Postman Pat as he is facing a moral crisis and enters a national TV talent show competition.

‘The Railway Man’ Soundtrack Details
Varese Sarabande has announced the details of the soundtrack album for the drama The Railway Man. The album features the film’s original music written by Academy Award-nominated composer David Hirschfelder (Elizabeth, Australia, Legend of the Guardians). The soundtrack will be released physically on May 27, 2014 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. The Railway Man is directed by Jonathan Teplitzky and stars Colin Firth, Nicole Kidman, Jeremy Irvine, Stellan Skarsgård and Hiroyuki Sanada. The movie follows a British Army officer who is tormented as a prisoner of war at a Japanese labour camp during World War II and discovers decades later that the Japanese interpreter he holds responsible for much of his treatment is still alive. The drama was released earlier this month by the Weinstein Company and is now playing in select theaters.
‘Perfect Sisters’ Soundtrack Details
Lakeshore Records will release a soundtrack album for the thriller Perfect Sisters. The album features the songs from the film, including a cover of the Carl Perkins classic Honey Don’t by Johnzo West, The Worst Part/Auld Lang Syne performed by actors Abigail Breslin and Cassidy Reiff, as well as tracks by AWOLNATION, At, Vincent, Hyper Crush, Matt & Kim and more. Also included are four tracks from the film’s original score composed by Grammy-nominated electronic musician and producer Carmen Rizzo. David Arnold’s ‘The Stepford Wives’ Score and Expanded ‘Dennis the Menace’ Soundtrack Released
La-La Land Records has announced the world premiere soundtrack release for the 2004 comedy The Stepford Wives directed by Frank Oz and starring Nicole Kidman, Matthew Broderick and Bette Midler. The album features the film’s original music composed by David Arnold (Independence Day, Casino Royale, Stargate), including a number of alternate cues and music not used in the film. ‘Wolf Creek 2’ Soundtrack Announced
Lakeshore Records will release a soundtrack album for the horror sequel Wolf Creek 2. The album features the film’s original score composed by Johnny Klimek (Cloud Atlas, One Hour Photo, The International). Also included are the songs from the film by such artists as Steppenwolf, The Tokens, Nellie Melba and Patsy Cline. ‘Chef’ Soundtrack Details
Milan Records will release a soundtrack album for Jon Favreau’s comedy Chef. The album features the songs from the film by artists including Pete Rodriguez, Courtney John, The Martinis, Liquid Liquid, Louie Ramirez, El Michels Affair and more . Also included is a cue by composer Lyle Workman (Superbad, The 40-Year Old Virgin) who wrote additional music for the film. The soundtrack will be released digitally on May 6, 2014 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. A CD version will be released later in May and is available for pre-order here. Chef is written and directed by Favreau who also stars in the film alongside Sofia Vergara, John Leguizamo, Bobby Cannavale, Dustin Hoffman, Oliver Platt, Emjay Anthony, Scarlett Johansson and Robert Downey, Jr. The movie follows a chef who quits his job at a prominent Los Angeles restaurant after refusing to compromise his creative integrity for its controlling owner.
‘The Sacrament’ Soundtrack Details
Milan Records will release a soundtrack album for the horror thriller The Sacrament. The album features the film’s original music composed by Tyler Bates (300, Watchmen, Dawn of the Dead, The Way), combined with pieces of dialogue and soundscapes by Graham Reznick. The soundtrack will be released on May 6, 2014 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. The Sacrament is written and directed by Ti West (The House of the Devil) and stars Joe Swanberg, Amy Selmetz, AJ Bowen, Kate Lyn Shell, Gene Jones and Kentucker Audley. Eli Roth is producing the movie about two Vice media correspondents who set out to document their friend’s search to find his missing sister. The thriller premiered at last year’s Toronto Film Festival and has been picked up by Magnolia Pictures for a domestic release on VOD on May 1 and in select theaters on June 6.
‘The Machine’ Soundtrack Announced
MovieScore Media will release a soundtrack album for the sci-fi thriller The Machine. The album features the film’s original music composed by Tom Raybould. The album features the film’s original music composed by Academy Award winner Rachel Portman (The Cider House Rules, Chocolat, Emma). The soundtrack will be released on May 13, 2014 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Belle is directed by Amma Asante and stars Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Tom Wilkinson, Emily Watson, Sarah Gadon, Penelope Wilton, Miranda Richardson, Tom Felton, Sam Reid and Matthew Goode. The movie inspired by the true story of Dido Elizebeth Belle, the illegitimate mixed race daughter of a Royal Navy Admiral, premiered at last year’s Toronto Film Festival and will be released in the U.S. on May 2, 2014 by Fox Searchlight.
