Karen O (of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs) and Ben Goldwasser (of the rock band MGMT) have composed the original music for the upcoming animated feature Where Is Anne Frank. The film is written and directed by Ari Folman (Waltz with Bashir, The Congress) and features the voices of Emily Carey, Ruby Stokes, Sebastian Croft, Ralph Prosser and Michaël Maloney and Tracy Ann Oberman. The movie tells the story of Kitty, Anne Frank’s imaginary friend, the one that Anne devoted her entire diary to, as she magically comes to life at the Anne Frank house in Amsterdam and sets out on a relentless quest to find Anne.

‘The Congress’ U.S. Version Soundtrack Details
The details of the U.S. version of the soundtrack album for the hybrid animated/live action movie The Congress have been revealed. The album features the film’s original music composed by Max Richter (Disconnect, The Leftovers) who previously collaborated with director Ari Folman on Waltz With Bashir. Also included are versions of the songs Forever Young and If It Be Your Will performed by actress Robin Wright. The soundtrack will be released on July 22, 2014 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. The label has previously released a soundtrack album overseas last year when the film opened in Europe. The Congress stars Robin Wright, Harvey Keitel, Jon Hamm, Paul Giamatti, Kodi Smit-McPhee and Danny Huston. The movie follows an actress who decides to take her final job: preserving her digital likeness for a future Hollywood.

Milan Records will release a soundtrack album for Ari Folman’s hybrid live-action/animated film The Congress. The album features the movie’s original score composed by Max Richter (Disconnect) who previously scored the director’s Academy Award-nominated film Waltz With Bashir. The soundtrack will be released digitally on July 2, 2013 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. The Congress is adapted for the screen and directed by Folman and stars Robin Wright, Jon Hamm, Paul Giamatti and Harvey Keitel. The movie is based on the 1971 novel The Futurological Congress by Stanislaw Lem and follows an aging, out-of-work actress, portrayed by Wright as an alternate reality version of herself. The film recently premiered at the Cannes Film Festival and has been picked up by Drafthouse Films for a theatrical and VOD release in the US in 2014.
Max Richter Scoring ‘The Congress’
Max Richter has recently been working on the score for the sci-fi movie The Congress. The project reunites Richter with director Ari Folman who previously collaborated with the composer on the Academy Award-nominated animated documentary Waltz with Bashir. The film is an adaptation of the novella The Congress from sci-fi writer Stanislaw Lem (Solaris) and will be half live action and half 2D animation. Robin Wright stars as a struggling actress who is offered one last job by a major studio. They want to scan her body, own her image and likeness and use it anyway they want, with the catch being that she will never be able to act again. Paul Giamatti, Harvey Keitel, Kodi Smit-McPhee and Danny Huston are co-starring.
