Premiering tonight is the HBO original series The Brink created by Kim & Roberto Benabib and starring Jack Black, Tim Robbins, Pablo Schreiber, Aasif Mandvi, Maribeth Monroe, Eric Ladin, Esai Morales and Geoff Pierson. The show doesn’t feature an original score. Scott Vener (Entourage) serves as the project’s music supervisor. Ballers follows a former football superstar who gets his life on track in retirement, while mentoring other current and former players on the business of football. Premiering tonight on Fox is the new futuristic drama Almost Human created by J.H. Wyman, executive produced by J.J. Abrams & Bryan Burke and starring Karl Urban, Michael Ealy, Minka Kelly, Lili Taylor, Mackenzie Crook and Michael Irby. Electronic music duo The Crystal Method who previously composed the main titles theme for the Fox series Bones are composing the show’s original score. J.J. Rob Lane has been hired to score the upcoming mini-series Klondike. The television event marks Discovery Channel’s first scripted project and stars Sam Shepard, Richard Madden, Abbie Cornish, Ian Hart, Johnny Simmons, Conor Leslie, Tim Roth, Augustus Prew, Marton Csokas and Tim Blake Nelson. The series is based on the novel Gold Diggers: Striking It Rich In The Klondike by Charlotte Gray and tells the story of six strangers and their collective fight for survival and wealth in a small frontier town in the remote Klondike. Simon Cellan Jones is directing the six-hour series from a script by Paul Scheuring (Prison Break, Zero Hour), Josh Goldin (Darkman) and Rachel Abramowitz.
