Netflix Music has released a soundtrack album for the South African Netflix original film 180. The album features the movie’s original music composed by Chris Letcher (Don’t Let’s Go to the Dogs Tonight, The Challenger Disaster, Motel Acacia). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Also listen to the composer’s credits track after the jump. 180 is written and directed by Alex Yazbek and stars Prince Grootboom, Noxolo Dlamini, Danica De La Rey, Warren Masemola, Fana Mokoena, Desmond Dube, Kabelo Thai, Bongile Mantsai, Makhaola Ndebele and Zenobia Kloopers. The thriller follows an enraged father who spirals down a dark path of emotional turmoil and vengeance when an unexpected road rage incident puts his son in critical condition.

Opening in theaters nationwide this weekend is DC Studios’ superhero movie Superman written and directed by James Gunn and starring David Corenswet, Rachel Brosnahan, Nicholas Hoult, Skyler Gisondo, Isabela Merced, Nathan Fillion, Anthony Carrigan, Edi Gathegi and María Gabriela de Faría. The film’s original music is composed by John Murphy (Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, 28 Days Later, Sunshine, The Suicide Squad) & David Fleming (Mr. & Mrs. Smith, The Last of Us, Damsel, Jim Henson: Idea Man). WaterTower Music has released a soundtrack album featuring the composers’ score, as well as two songs this past Tuesday. Opening in semi-wide in a couple of hundred theaters this weekend is the horror movie Abraham’s Boys: A Dracula Story written and directed by Natasha Kermani and starring Titus Welliver, Jocelin Donahue, Judah Mackey, Aurora Perrineau and Brady Hepner. Brittany Allen (What Keeps You Alive, Z, Torn Hearts, American Horror Stories, Scrambled) has composed the film’s original music. No word on a soundtrack release. Weekly TV Music Roundup (November 17, 2013)
Premiering tonight on Fox is the new futuristic drama Almost Human created by J.H. Wyman, executive produced by J.J. Abrams & Bryan Burke and starring Karl Urban, Michael Ealy, Minka Kelly, Lili Taylor, Mackenzie Crook and Michael Irby. Electronic music duo The Crystal Method who previously composed the main titles theme for the Fox series Bones are composing the show’s original score. J.J. Abrams has composed the main titles theme, which will be introduced in the second episode, which will premiere tomorrow, November 18.
