MovieScore Media will release a soundtrack album for the Paramount+ UK original series The Crow Girl. The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Adam Price (Apartment 7A, Curfew). Lorne Balfe serves as the score producer and Guns N’ Roses guitarist Slash (who is also an executive producer of the series) is the featured soloist on several tracks. The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, January 29 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Also listen to Price’s title track below. The Crow Girl is developed by Milly Thomas based on the bestselling novel of the same title by Erik Axl Sund and stars Eve Myles, Katherine Kelly, Dougray Scott and Elliot Edusah. The crime thriller follows a DCI investigating the murder of a teenage boy who joins forces with the prime suspect’s psychotherapist, despite opposition from her superiors.

Ariel Marx Scoring Paramount+’s ‘Happy Face’
Ariel Marx (Shiva Baby, Candy, Sanctuary, A Small Light, A Friend of the Family, A Friend of the Family, The Tale) has been tapped to score the upcoming Paramount+ original series Happy Face. The show is inspired by the Happy Face true-crime podcast and stars Annaleigh Ashford, Dennis Quaid, James Wolk, Khiyla Aynne, Tamera Tomakili and Benjamin Mackey. The 8-part crime drama is based on the the true-life story of Melissa G. Moore and her incarcerated father, known as the Happy Face Killer who – after decades of no contact – finally finds a way to force himself back into the life of her daughter who must find out if an innocent man is going to be put to death for a crime her father committed.

Republic Records Kids + Family has released the original song Smile from Nickelodeon’s Henry Danger: The Movie. The track written by Samantha Martin, Niki Hexum & Zack Hexum, produced by the film’s composer Paul Edward-Francis and performed by actor Frankie Grande (who stars as Frankini) is now available to stream/download on all major digital music services, including Amazon. Hollywood Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score last January when the series premiered overseas on Disney+. Curfew is developed by Lydia Yeoman based on Jayne Cowie’s novel After Dark and stars Sarah Parish, Mitchell Robertson, Mandip Gill, Lucy Benjamin, Alexandra Burke, Larry Lamb and Bobby Brazier. The 6-part thriller is set in a world where men live under a strict curfew and centers on a woman’s murder during curfew that challenges the system.
Jeff Russo to Score Paramount+’s ‘Star Trek: Starfleet Academy’
Jeff Russo (Fargo, Ridley, Legion, The Night Of, The Umbrella Academy, For All Mankind, The Man Who Feel to Earth) has been hired to score the upcoming Paramount+ original series Star Trek: Starfleet Academy. The show stars Kerrice Brooks, Bella Shepard, George Hawkins, Karim Diané, Zoë Steiner, Tig Notaro, Robert Picardo, as well as Holly Hunter who plays the captain and chancellor of Starfleet Academy. Oded Fehr, Mary Wiseman, Gina Yashere, Paul Giamatti and Tatiana Maslany will appear as guest stars in the sci-fi drama, which follows the adventures of a new class of Starfleet cadets as they come of age in one of the most legendary places in the galaxy.
