Lakeshore Records will release a soundtrack album for the Paramount+ original series Star Trek: Starfleet Academy. The album features selections of the original music from the show’s first season composed by Emmy Award winner Jeff Russo (Fargo, Star Trek: Discovery & Picard, Alien: Earth, The Night Of, Legion, Ripley, For All Mankind, Zero Day, The Man Who Feel to Earth). Also included is Rufus Wainwright’s cover version of San Francisco (Be Sure to Wear Flower Covers in Your Hair) as featured in the first episode, which is embedded after the jump. The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, January 16 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music music services. Star Trek: Starfleet Academy is created by Gaia Violo and stars Holly Hunter, Sandro Rosta, George Hawkins, Karim Diané, Bella Shepard, Kerrice Brooks, Tig Notaro, Robert Picardo, Oded Fehr, Zoë Steiner, Mary Wiseman, Gina Yashere and Paul Giamatti. The sci-fi drama follows a new class of cadets at Starfleet Academy, where college life collides with high-stakes missions to shape the next generation of leaders.

Premiering today is the second season of the British TV series The Night Manager created by David Farr based on the characters created by John le Carré and starring Tom Hiddleston, Diego Calva, Camila Morrone, Olivia Colman, Alistair Petrie, Michael Nardone, Douglas Hodge, Hayley Squires, Indira Varma, Paul Chahid and Noah Jupe. The new season’s original music is composed by Federico Jusid (The Secret in Their Eyes, A Gentleman in Moscow, A Thousand Blows, The English, The Penguin Lessons, Watership Down, The Eternaut, The Head, Misconduct). Sarah Warne (Des, Time, The Long Shadow, Humans, Dark Money, Hollington Drive, Steeltown Murders, The Drowning) has composed the show’s original music. Jeff Russo to Score Paramount+’s ‘Star Trek: Starfleet Academy’
Jeff Russo (Fargo, Ridley, Legion, The Night Of, The Umbrella Academy, For All Mankind, The Man Who Feel to Earth) has been hired to score the upcoming Paramount+ original series Star Trek: Starfleet Academy. The show stars Kerrice Brooks, Bella Shepard, George Hawkins, Karim Diané, Zoë Steiner, Tig Notaro, Robert Picardo, as well as Holly Hunter who plays the captain and chancellor of Starfleet Academy. Oded Fehr, Mary Wiseman, Gina Yashere, Paul Giamatti and Tatiana Maslany will appear as guest stars in the sci-fi drama, which follows the adventures of a new class of Starfleet cadets as they come of age in one of the most legendary places in the galaxy.
