The full details of the soundtrack album for the Star Trek: Strange New Worlds musical episode Subspace Rhapsody have been revealed. The album features the original songs from the ninth episode of the show’s second season written by Tom Polce and Kay Hanley (of the rock band Letters to Cleo) and performed by cast members including Anson Mount, Rebecca Romijn, Ethan Peck, Celia Rose Gooding, Jess Bush, Christina Chong, Paul Wesley, Melissa Navia, Dan Jeannotte, Babs Olusanmokun, Melanie Scrofano and Carol Kane. Also included a special version of Jeff Russo’s main title theme. Roger Suen (Blue Bayou, Spy Intervention Gook, Ms. Purple, A Kid from Coney Island) has recently been scoring the new Paramount+ original movie Love in Taipei. The film is directed by Arvin Chen (Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow?) and stars Ashley Liao, Ross Butler, Nico Hiraga, Chelsea Zhang and Cindy Cheung. The YA romance is based on Abigail Hing Wen’s best-selling novel Loveboat, Taipei and follows a young American woman who is sent by her parents to a cultural immersion program in Taipei, where she begins a new journey of self-discovery and romance.
