Jon Chau Scoring Nickelodeon’s Paramount+ Movie ‘Baby Shark’s Big Movie!’
Jon Chau is making his feature scoring debut on Nickelodeon’s upcoming Paramount+ original animated film Baby Shark’s Big Movie! The animated comedy is directed by Alan Foreman and stars Kimiko Glenn, Luke Youngblood, Eric Edelstein, Natasha Rothwell, Debra Wilson & Patrick Warburton (who all reprise their roles from the Baby Shark’s Big Show! animated series), Ashley Tisdale, Ego Nwodim, Aparna Nancherla, Chloe Fineman, Lance Bass, as well as Cardi B, Offset, Kulture as Kulture Sharki and Wave. The movie follows the title character as he is forced to leave the world he loves behind after his family’s move to the big city, where he encounters an evil pop starfish who plans to steal his gift of song in order to dominate all underwater music.
‘Transformers: EarthSpark’ Soundtrack Album to Be Released
The full details of the first soundtrack album for the Paramount+ animated series Transformers: EarthSpark have been revealed. The album features selections of the original music from the show’s first season composed by producer duo Crush Effect. The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, November 10 by Hasbro (visit Amazon or any other major digital music services to stream/download). Premiering in the U.S. tomorrow, October 30, is the British limited series Mayflies written by Andrea Gibb based on Andrew O’Hagan’s bestselling novel of the same title and starring Martin Compston, Tony Curran, Ashley Jensen, Rian Gordon, Tracy Ifeachor and Tom Glynn-Carney. Lorne Balfe (Mission: Impossible – Fallout, The Wheel of Time, His Dark Materials, Black Widow) & Joseph Stevenson have composed the show’s original music. The 2-parter, which centers on the friendship between two Scottish men, premiered in the UK last year on BBC One and is making its domestic debut on Acorn TV.

Lorne Balfe & Michael Bitton Scoring Paramount+’s ‘The Burning Girls’
Lorne Balfe (Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning & Fallout, Black Adam, Black Widow, His Dark Materials, Top Gun: Maverick) has teamed up with Michael Bitton (who has worked with Balfe on numerous projects over the last couple of years) to score the new British Paramount+ original series The Burning Girls. The show is developed by Hans Rosenfeldt (The Bridge) based on novel of the same name by C.J. Tudor and stars Samantha Morton, Ruby Stokes, Rupert Graves, Conrad Khan and David Dawson. The psychological thriller follows a Vicar and her daughter who both arrive in a new village in hope of a fresh start, but soon realize the place has a dark past.
