Lakeshore Records will release a soundtrack album for the action comedy Central Intelligence. The album features the film’s original music composed by Theodore Shapiro (Ghostbusters, Spy, The Devil Wears Prada, Tropic Thunder) and Ludwig Goransson (Creed, Community, We’re the Millers). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, June 17 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon, where you can also check out audio samples. Central Intelligence is directed by Rawson Marshall Thurber and stars Dwayne Johnson, Kevin Hart, Amy Ryan, Aaron Paul and Danielle Nicolet. The movie follows a former high school sports star-turned-accountant who is contacted by a classmate who was bullied and humiliated as a teen but is now a CIA contract killer and lures him into a world of espionage.

FX’s ‘Atlanta’ to Feature Music by Ludwig Goransson
Ludwig Goransson is set to compose the original music for the upcoming FX original series Atlanta. The show is created by Donald Glover who also stars in the show alongside Brian Tyree Henry, LaKeith Lee Stanfield, Zazie Beetz and Bret E. Benson. The comedy revolves around two cousins on their way up through the Atlanta rap scene whose opposing views on art versus commerce, success and race will make their quest anything but easy. Glover is also executive producing the project with Paul Simms (Girls, Divorce) for FX Prods. and Dianne McGunigle for MGMT Entertainment.

Premiering tonight is the new AMC original series Feed the Beast created by Clyde Phillips based on the Danish drama Bankerot and starring David Schwimmer, Jim Sturgess, Michael Gladis, Lorenza Izzo and Christine Adams. The show’s original music is composed by Pat Irwin (Nurse Jackie, Bored to Death, But I’m a Cheerleader). Ludwig Goransson & Nathan Matthew David Scoring TBS’ ‘Angie Tribeca’ Season 2
Ludwig Goransson and Nathan Matthew David are the new composers of the TBS original series Angie Tribeca. The composers are scoring the second season of the show created by Steve & Nancy Carell and starring Rashida Jones, Hayes MacArthur, Jere Burns, Deon Cole and Andree Vermeulen. The comedy follows a 10-year veteran of the Los Angeles Police Department’s elite RHCU (Really Heinous Crimes Unit) and a squad of committed LAPD detectives investigators as they solve various crimes. Steve and Nancy Carell are also executive producing the project with Thom Hinkle and Campbell Smith.

Behind the Music of ‘Creed’
WaterTower Music has published a video featurette about the score for the sports drama Creed. The video features interviews with the film’s composer Ludwig Goransson, director Ryan Coogler, editor Michael Shawver, co-writer Aaron Covington, as well as Goransson’s family. The composer who also appears in the movie in two scenes as a member of Tessa Thompson’s character’s band talks about his musical background, his collaboration with the director and the influence of Bill Conti’s classic Rocky score. Theodore Shapiro and Ludwig Goransson are reteaming with director Rawson Marshall Thurber on the upcoming action comedy Central Intelligence. The film stars Dwayne Johnson, Kevin Hart, Amy Ryan and Aaron Paul. The movie follows a former high school sports star-turned-accountant who is contacted by a classmate who was bullied and humiliated as a teen but is now a CIA contract killer and lures him into a world of espionage. Thurber has also written the screenplay with Ike Barenholtz & David Stassen (The Mindy Project). Scott Stuber (Role Models, Ted, Safe House) is producing the New Line Cinema production with Michael Fortell (Furious 7, Live Free or Die Hard) and Paul Young & Peter Principato (Married, Jessabelle).
‘Creed’ Soundtrack Released
Atlantic Records has released a soundtrack album for the boxing drama Creed. The album features the original songs from the film by the movie’s composer Ludwig Goransson, star Tessa Thompson, and hip-hop artists Sam Dew, Vince Staples, and Childish Gambino (Donald Glover), as well as the original track Last Breath by Future, which samples Bill Conti’s Gonna Fly Now from the Rocky series. Also included are tracks by Nas, The Roots feat. John Legend, White Dave, 2Pac & more. The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also listen to audio samples. As previously reported, a separate soundtrack featuring Goransson’s original score from the film has been released by WaterTower Music. Creed directed by Ryan Coogler and starring Michael B. Jordan, Sylvester Stallone, Tessa Thompson, Phylicia Rashad and Anthony Bellews will be opening in theaters nationwide on November 25, 2015.

Warner Bros. Pictures is submitting two original songs from the upcoming sports drama Creed for Oscar consideration. The first track, Waiting for My Moment, is written by the film’s composer Ludwig Goransson (Community, Fruitvale Station, New Girl, We’re the Millers), the movie’s director Ryan Coogler, rapper Vince Staples, and Donald Glover aka Childish Gambino. The second song, Grip, is written by Goransson, hip hop singer/songwriter Sam Dew and Tessa Thompson who also stars in the film.
