Frederik Wiedmann is composing the music for the upcoming DC Entertainment and Warner Bros. Animation film Justice League: Gods and Monsters. The film is directed by Sam Liu and features the voice talent of Benjamin Bratt, Michael C. Hall, Paget Brewster, Jason Isaacs, C. Thomas Howell and Tamara Taylor. The movie is set in an alternative universe, where Zod is Superman’s father, Batman is a vampiric Man-Bat, and Wonder Woman is the child of Ares, God of War. Alan Burnett has written the screenplay and Bruce Timm serves as the producer.

‘Dying of the Light’ Soundtrack Details
La-La Land Records will release a soundtrack album for the thriller Dying of the Light. The album features the film’s original music composed by Frederik Wiedmann (Green Lantern: The Animated Series, Beware the Batman, Field of Lost Shoes). The soundtrack will be released as a limited edition CD on February 24, 2015. Dying of the Light is directed by Paul Schrader and stars Nicolas Cage, Anton Yelchin, Alexander Karim, Irène Jacob, Adetomiwa Edun, Aymen Hamdouchi, Claudius Peters and Robert G. Slade. The movie centers on a former CIA agent embarking on a global manhunt for his long-standing nemesis, while simultaneously battling an aggressive form of Alzheimer’s Disease.
‘Justice League: Throne of Atlantis’ Soundtrack Released
WaterTower Music has released a soundtrack album for DC Entertainment’s and Warner Bros. Animation’s movie Justice League: Throne of Atlantis. The album features the film’s original music composed by Frederik Wiedmann (Green Lantern: The Animated Series, Beware the Batman, Son of Batman, Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox). La-La Land Records is releasing a limited edition physical version of the soundtrack. Justice League: Throne of Atlantis is directed by Ethan Spaulding and features the voices of Matt Lanter, Sam Witwer, Jason O’Mara, Shemar Moore, Jerry O’Connell, Christopher Gorham, Rosario Dawson, Nathan Fillion, Sean Astin and Harry Lennix.
Frederik Wiedmann Scoring ‘Batman vs. Robin’
Frederik Wiedmann has composed the music for the upcoming DC Entertainment and Warner Bros. Animation film Batman vs. Robin. The movie is inspired by the Batman: The Court of Owls storyline from Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo and features the voices of Jason O’Mara as Batman, Sean Maher as Robin and David McCallum as Alfred. They are joined by Jeremy Sisto, Grey Griffin, “Weird” Al Yankovic, Robin Atkin Downes, Peter Onorati and Kevin Conroy. Jay Oliva who previously helmed Batman: Assault on Arkham and both parts of Batman: The Dark Knight Returns is directing the film from a script by comic writer J.M. DeMatteis.

Opening in around 600 theaters is the horror thriller The Pyramid directed by Gregory Levasseur, produced by Alexandre Aja and starring Ashley Hinshaw, James Buckley, Denis O’Hare, Christa Nicola and Amir K. The film’s original music is composed by Nima Fakhrara (The Signal, The Courier). No soundtrack album has been announced. The Pyramid follows a group of U.S. archaeologists who discover a lost pyramid unlike any other in the Egyptian desert. The thriller is being released by 20th Century Fox. Already playing in select theaters since this past Wednesday is the drama Wild directed by Jean-Marc Vallee and starring Reese Witherspoon, Laura Dern, Thomas Sadoski, Gaby Hoffman, Kevin Rankin and Michiel Huisman. The film doesn’t feature an original score. Sony Legacy has released a soundtrack album featuring the songs from the film by such artists as Simon & Garfunkel, Bruce Springsteen, Leonard Cohen, Portishead, The Shangri-Las, Billy Swan, Lucina Williams, Wings, Pat Metheny Group & more. Two new movies are opening nationwide this weekend:
Expected to top the weekend box office is the action thriller The Equalizer directed by Antoine Fuqua and starring Denzel Washington, Chloë Grace Moretz, Marton Csokas, David Harbour, Bill Pullman and Melissa Leo. The film’s original music is composed by Harry Gregson-Williams (The Chronicles of Narnia, Shrek series, Man on Fire, Unstoppable) who previously scored the director’s The Replacement Killers. Varese Sarabande has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s music earlier this week. Check out our previous article for the full album details. Also opening wide this weekend is the animated feature The Boxtrolls directed by Anthony Stacchi & Graham Annable and featuring the voices of Ben Kingsley, Isaac Hempstead-Wright, Elle Fanning, Jared Harris, , Tracy Morgan, Toni Collette, Nick Frost, Richard Ayoade and Simon Pegg. Dario Marianelli (Atonement, Pride and Prejudice, V for Vendetta, Anna Karenina) has composed the film’s original music. Back Lot Music has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score, as well as the songs from the film, including The Boxtrolls Song written by Eric Idle and performed by Mark Orton and Loch Lomond. ‘Field of Lost Shoes’ Soundtrack Announced
La-La Land Records will release a soundtrack album for the Civil War drama Field of Lost Shoes. The album features the film’s original music composed by Frederik Wiedmann (Green Lantern: The Animated Series, The Damned, Beware the Batman). The soundtrack will be released physically on September 9, 2014 and digitally on September 16. Visit Amazon to pre-order the album. Check out audio clips below. Field of Lost Shoes is directed by Sean McNamara and stars David Arquette, Tom Skerritt and Jason Isaacs. The movie follows a group of teenage cadets, sheltered from war at the Virginia Military Institute, who must confront the horrors of an adult world when they are called upon to defend the Shenandoah Valley.

Already in theaters since Wednesday is the action thriller The November Man directed by Roger Donaldson and starring Pierce Brosnan, Luke Bracey, Olga Kurylenko, Eliza Taylor, Caterina Scorsone, Bill Smitrovich and Will Patton. Marco Beltrami (World War Z, Scream, The Wolverine, 3:10 to Yuma) has composed the film’s original music. Varese Sarabande has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s music digitally earlier this week. A CD version will be released on September 9. Opening nationwide today is the horror thriller As Above, So Below directed by John Erick Dowdle and starring Perdita Weeks, Ben Feldman, Edwin Hodge, Francois Civil, Marion Lambert, Ali Marhyar, Cosme Castro and Hamidreza Javdan. The film’s original music is composed by Keefus Ciancia (Nashville, Saving Grace, Diana, The Motel Life). No word on a soundtrack release. Frederik Wiedmann to Score Paul Schrader’s ‘Dying of the Light’
Frederik Wiedmann is composing the music for the upcoming thriller Dying of the Light. The film is written and directed by Paul Schrader and stars Nicolas Cage, Anton Yelchin and Irene Jacob. The movie follows a former CIA agent embarking on a global manhunt for his long-standing nemesis, while simultaneously battling an aggressive form of Alzheimer’s Disease. Todd Williams, Scott Clayton and Gary Hirsch are producing the Over Under Media and Red Granite Pictures production. Nicolas Winding Refn (Drive, Only God Forgives) and Steve Schwartz (The Road, The Counselor) are executive producing the project.
‘The Damned’ Soundtrack Details
Lakeshore Records will release a soundtrack album for the horror thriller The Damned. The album features the film’s original music composed by Frederik Wiedmann (Green Lantern: The Animated Series, Son of Batman, Hostel: Part III). The soundtrack will be released digitally on August 19, 2014 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Check out audio clips after the jump. The Damned is directed by Victor Garcia and stars Peter Facinelli, Sophia Myles, Nathalia Ramos and Sebastian Martinez. The movie, which is also known as Gallow Hill, follows a widower who takes his children on a trip to their mother’s Colombian hometown, where they involved in an accidents, take refuge in a secluded inn and free a girl locked in a basement.
