Trent Reznor & Atticus Ross have won their first Primetime Emmy Award in the Outstanding Music Composition for a Limited Series, Movie or a Special (Original Dramatic Score) for their score for the episode It’s Summer and We’re Running Out of Ice from the HBO original series Watchmen at today’s fourth night of the Creative Emmy Awards. Nathan Barr received his first Primetime Emmy Award in the Original Main Title Theme Music category for Ryan Murphy’s Netflix limited series Hollywood and Labrinth was honored with his first Emmy in the Outstanding Music and Lyrics category for the original song All For Us from HBO’s Euphoria. Robin Urdang, Daniel Palladino and Amy Sherman-Palladino won the Award in the Outstanding Music Supervision category for Amazon’s The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel.

Rickey Minor Wins Emmy Award for The Kennedy Center Honors
Rickey Minor has received his second Primetime Emmy Award in the Outstanding Music Direction category for his work on the 2019 Kennedy Center Honors gala at today’s second night of the 2020 Creative Arts Emmy Awards. He previously won the award in 2017 for Taking The Stage: African American Music And Stories That Changed America and received multiple other nominations in the category. He received a second nomination this year for his music direction of the 92nd Academy Awards ceremony.
Laura Karpman Wins Emmy Award for ‘Why We Hate’
Laura Karpman has won her first Primetime Emmy Award in the Outstanding Music Composition for a Documentary Series or Special (Original Dramatic Score) category for her score for the episode Tools & Tactics from the Discover docu-series Why We Hate at today’s first part of the Primetime Creative Arts Emmy Awards. She has previously been received Primetime Emmy Award nominations for the TV series Odyssey 5 and Masters of Science Fiction and is also up for an Emmy this year for her main title theme from Why We Hate. Her score from the series has been released by Lakeshore Records.

In the Original Main Title Theme Music category, Nicholas Britell received his first Emmy Award for his main titles theme from HBO’s Succession. Ramin Djawadi was honored with his second Primetime Emmy Award for his score for the episode The Long Night from HBO’s Game of Thrones in the Music Composition for a Series category.
