Composer, singer/songwriter and pianist Emily Bear (The Unofficial Bridgerton Musical, Dog Gone, The Premise) has recently scored the upcoming comedy drama K-Pops. The film marks the feature directorial debut of Anderson .Paak and stars the singer himself, alongside Soul Rasheed, Jee Young Han, Jonnie “Dumbfoundead” Park and Yvette Nicole Brown. The movie follows a washed-up drummer from LA who attempts to reinvigorate his career by joining the band for a K-Pop competition show in Seoul and discovers that his long-lost son has the chance to front one of the country’s hottest new groups.

Disney announced today that Mark Mancina & Opetaia Foa’i will return to compose the music for the upcoming animated musical Moana 2. They are joined by Grammy Award winners Emily Bear & Abigail Barlow (Bridgerton: The Musical) who are also contributing music to the film, which is directed by Dave Derrick Jr. and follows the title character who – after receiving an unexpected call from her wayfinding ancestors – must journey to the far seas of Oceania and into dangerous, long-lost waters for an adventure unlike anything she’s ever faced.

Music producer Marius de Vries (Coda, Kick-Ass, Strange Magic, Navalny, Sucker Punch), Grammy Award-winning songwriters Abigail Barlow & Emily Bear (The Unofficial Bridgerton Musical) and Emmy Award-nominated songwriter Mark Sonnenblick (Theater Camp) have joined the music team of the upcoming biographical drama Fred & Ginger. The film is directed by Jonathan Entwistle (The End of the F*cking World, I Am Not Okay with This) and will star Jamie Bell as Fred Astaire and Margaret Qualley as Ginger Rogers. The movie centers on a life-defining point in the Hollywood icons’ early careers when their contrasting dance styles and competitive rivalry threatened to destroy their legendary partnership.

Netflix Music will release a soundtrack album for the streamer’s original film Dog Gone. The album features the movie’s original music written by Grammy Award-winning composer, singer/songwriter and pianist Emily Bear (The Unofficial Bridgerton Musical, The Premise). Emily Bear Scoring ‘The Premise’ Episode ‘The Commenter’
Composer, pianist and singer/songwriter Emily Bear (The Unofficial Bridgerton Musical) has written the original score for the fourth episode of the FX on Hulu anthology series The Premise. The Commenter is written Jia Tolentino & series creator B.J. Novak, directed by Darya Zhuk and stars Lola Kirke, Soko, Sylvia Grace Crim and Benjamin Clement. The episode follows a young woman with a happy life and loving partner who becomes obsessed with a critical anonymous comment online, eventually upending her life in a quest for the commenter’s approval.
‘A Dog’s Journey’ Soundtrack Details
Back Lot Music will release the official soundtrack album for the drama A Dog’s Journey. The album features the film’s original music composed by Academy Award nominee Mark Isham (Crash, Once Upon a Time, The Accountant, A River Runs Through It, Quiz Show, 42) and featuring piano solos by Emily Bear. Also included is the original song Fearless by Abby Anderson. The soundtrack will be released digitally next Friday, May 17 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon, where you can also check out audio samples. A Dog’s Journey is directed by Gail Mancuso and stars Kathryn Prescott, Betty Gilpin, Dennis Quaid, Henry Lau, Marg Helgenberger and Josh Gad as the voice of dog Bailey.
