Morgan Kibby (aka White Sea) (Grand Army, The Short History of the Long Road) has composed the original music for the upcoming British period drama Mothering Sunday. The film is directed Eva Husson and stars Odessa Young, Josh O’Connor, Olivia Colman, Colin Firth and Sope Dirisu. The movie is based on Graham Swift’s novel of the same title and revolves around a maid living in post-World War I England whp secretly plans to meet with the man she loves before he leaves to marry another woman. Alice Birch (Lady Macbeth, Normal People) wrote the screenplay. Elizabeth Karlsen (Carol, Their Finest) and Stephen Woolley (The Crying Game, Colette) are producing the project for Number 9. Writer/director James Gunn has revealed that composers Clint Mansell (Requiem for a Dream, Black Swan, The Fountain, Moon) & Kevin Kiner (Star Trek: The Clone Wars & Rebels, CSI: Miami) are teaming up to co-score the upcoming HBO Max original series Peacemaker. The show is developed and directed by Gunn based on his upcoming feature The Suicide Squad (scored by John Murphy) and the character created by Joe Gill & Pat Boyette and stars John Cena in the title role. Steve Agee, Danielle Brooks, Robert Patrick, Jennifer Holland, Freddie Stroma and Chukwudi Iwuji are co-starring in the series, which will explore the origins of the Peacemaker character, a man who believes in peace at any cost – no matter how many people he has to kill to get it. The show’s original score is composed by Michael Yezerski (The Tax Collector, Mr. Inbetween, The Devil’s Candy, Deputy, Feel the Beat, The Vigil) and jazz trumpeter Ambrose Akinmusire.
