Vere Music has released a soundtrack album for the animated feature Rock Dog 2: Rock Around the Park. The album features five original songs from the film written and produced by Matthew Gerrard (Brother Bear 2, Mariah Carey’s All I Want for Christmas Is You), as well as selection from the movie’s original score, which Gerrard co-wrote with Richard Evans. Rock Dog 2: Rock Around the Park is directed by Mark Baldo and features the voice talent of Ashleigh Ball, Andrew Francis, Brian Drummond, Kathleen Barr and Jason Simpson. The Splash Entertainment production is set one year after the events of the original Rock Dog film and follows Bodi and his friends as they learn that fame comes at a price when they go on their first big tour. Jeff Morrow (Ibiza, Science Fair, Olaf’s Frozen Adventure, Trolls Holiday, Mucho Mucho Amor: The Legend of Walter Mercado) has recently scored the new Apple TV+ documentary special Who Are You, Charlie Brown?. The special is narrated by Lupita Nyong’o and centers on the late Peanuts creator Charles M. Schulz. The documentary is directed by Michael Bonfiglio (From the Ashes) and features interviews with friends, family, cartoonists and famous fans of the comic strip, including Jean Schulz, the widow of Charles Schulz, Drew Barrymore, Kevin Smith, Billie Jean King, Al Roker, Paul Feig, Ira Glass, Noah Schnapp and Keith L. ‘The French Dispatch’ Soundtrack Album Details

The details of the soundtrack album for Wes Anderson’s The French Dispatch have been revealed. The album features the film’s original score composed by Academy Award winner Alexandre Desplat (The Shape of Water, The Queen, The King’s Speech, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Godzilla) who previously scored the director’s The Grand Budapest Hotel, The Fantastic Mr. Fox, Isle of Dogs & Moonlight Kingdom and featuring piano solos performed by Jean-Yves Thibaudet. Also included are songs performed by Grace Jones, Jarvis Cocker, Charles Aznavour and tracks by Ennio Morricone, Georges Delerue & others as featured in the movie. Tôt ou Tard will release a soundtrack EP for the French drama Spring Blossom (Seize printemps). The EP features the film’s original score composed by Vincent Delerm (The Very Private Life of Mister Sim). Also included is the title song by the movie’s director Suzanne Lindon (listen to the full track below). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, June 16 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. A vinyl edition is also in the works. Intrada Records has announced the world premiere release of the unused original score by Jerry Goldsmith (Star Trek: The Motion Picture, The Omen, Planet of the Apes, Patton, Air Force One, The Mummy) from the 1992 crime thriller The Public Eye directed by Howard Franklin and starring Joe Pesci, Barbara Hershey, Stanley Tucci and Jerry Adler. The album features the original songs from the movie written by Rivers Cuomo (of Weezer) and performed by lead actor Kelsey Grammer and Cuomo himself. Vertical Entertainment announced today that Debbie Harry (of Blondie) has recorded the original song Mysteries of Life for the upcoming fantasy comedy Here After. Angelo Badalamenti (Blue Velvet, Mulholland Drive, Twin Peaks) has written the main theme and Joseph LoDuca (The Evil Dead, Xena: Warrior Princess, Hercules: The Legendary Journeys, Spartacus: Blood and Sand) has composed the original score for the movie written and directed by Harry Greenberger and starring Christina Ricci, Nora Arnezeder, Jackie Cruz, Michael Rispoli and Andy Karl. The film revolves around a struggling actor who dies right after a bad breakup and finds himself in singles Purgatory where he must find his soul mate in order to cross over to the other side.
