Milan Records has released the fifth soundtrack for the Apple TV+ original series Schmigadoon! The album features the original songs (Suddenly (Melissa Reprise), Tribulation & I Always, Always, Never Get My Man) from the fifth episode of the show written by Cinco Paul (Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax), as well as four score cues composed by Christopher Willis (The Death of StalinVeep, The Personal History of David Copperfield). Milan Records has announced a new soundtrack album for the Amazon anthologhy series Modern Love. The album features both score music and original songs from the show’s second season. Executive music producer Gary Clark and series showrunner, director, writer & executive producer John Carney have written both instrumental music and original vocal tracks featuring performances by Rosie Carney, Nerina Pallot, John Byrne and ANDERMO. The record also features songs written and performed by Andy Shauf, Chong the Nomad, Morcheeba’s Skye Edwards, Clark and Gregor Philip, as well as score tracks by Jay Wadley (I’m Thinking of Ending Things, Indignation), Philip and Brian Byrne (Albert Nobbs, Boychoir). The World Soundtrack Academy has announced the nominees for the 2021 World Soundtrack Awards in the categories of Film Composer of the Year, TV Composer of the Year and Best Original Song Written Directly for a Film. The winners will be announced at the 21st World Soundtrack Awards ceremony, which will take place in the Opera of Ghent on, October 23, 2021. Max Richter has previously been announced as guest of honor and Eleni Karaindrou will receive the Lifetime Achievement Award 2021. The rest of the nominations will be revealed in early September.
