Because Music & EuropaCorp will release a soundtrack album for Luc Besson’s gothic horror movie Dracula: A Love Tale. The album features the film’s original score composed by Academy Award nominee Danny Elfman (Batman, The Nightmare Before Christmas, Spider-Man, Beetlejuice, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Edward Scissorhands, Men in Black, Alice in Wonderland). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, July 30 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. The full details of the soundtrack album for the Disney Jr. animated series Marvel’s Iron Man and His Awesome Friends have been revealed. The album features seven songs from the show’s first season, including Mark Hoppus’ theme song Totally Awesome, which was released a digital single last month. The soundtrack will be released digitally on August 15 by Walt Disney Records and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. A second song (Armor Up written by Gustavo Branger, Kevin Zijderveld Muñoz, Mila Branger, Stephan Bouwman & Tim Boomsma) is now also available to stream/download on all major digital music services and can be checked out below. Geffen Records has released a digital version of the soundtrack album for the 1980 drama The Competition written and directed by Joel Oliansky and starring Richard Dreyfuss, Amy Irving, Lee Remick and Sam Wanamaker. The album features the film’s original music composed and conducted by Honorary Academy Award winner Lalo Schifrin (Mission: Impossible, Bullit, Enter the Dragon, Dirty Harry, Rush Hour, Cool Hand Luke, The Amityville Horror), as well as the Academy Award-nominated original song People Alone written by Schifrin and featuring lyrics by Will Jennings. The first album featuring the songs from the show’s first season performed by the series’ voice cast will be released digitally on September 10 and physically in the following weeks. Atli Örvarsson (Silo, The Hitman’s Bodyguard, Defending Jacob, Vantage Point, Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters, The Eagle, The Edge of Seventeen, Rams) has composed the original score for the new Chinese historical action drama Dongji Rescue. The film is directed by Guan Hu (Black Dog, The Eight Hundred) & Zhenxiang Fei and stars Zhu Yilong, Wu Lei and Ni Ni. The movie takes place in 1942, when a Japanese ship carrying British prisoners of war was torpedoed and tells the story of a group of Dongji fishermen who risked their lives to rescue over 300 British soldiers and protected and rescued three British individuals during a large-scale search by Japanese forces. Premiering tomorrow, July 28, is the Hulu original series The Wonderfully Weird World of Gumball created by Ben Bocquelet and starring Alkaio Thiele, Hero Hunter, Kinza Syed Khan, Teresa Gallagher and Dan Russell. Xav Clarke (Wolfboy and the Everything Factory, Elliott from Earth, The Heroic Quest of the Valiant Prince Ivandoe) is composing the show’s original music. The sequel to The Amazing World of Gumball produced by Hanna-Barbera Studios Europe follows Gumball Watterson, his brother Darwin, his sister Anais, and the other quirky residents of Elmore on new adventures and will be available to stream in the U.S. exclusively on Hulu.
Premiering in the U.S. on Tuesday, July 29, is the British TV series Dope Girls developed by Polly Stenham & Alex Warren and starring Julianne Nicholson, Eilidh Fisher, Eliza Scanlen, Umi Myers, Geraldine James, Rory Fleck Bryne, Dustin Demri-Burns, Sebastian Croft, Michael Duke, Ian Bonar, Laura Checkley, Harry Cadby, Priya Kansara, Will Keen, Nabhaan Rizwan and Jordan Kouame. The show’s original music is composed by the experimental vocalist & electronic artist collective NYX. Madison Gate Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the artists’ score earlier this year when the drama premiered in the UK on BBC One.
