Robin Carolan has provided the original score for the upcoming gothic horror movie Nosferatu. The film is written and directed by Robert Eggers (The Witch, The Lighthouse) and stars Bill Skarsgård, Nicholas Hoult, Lily-Rose Depp, Emma Corrin, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Simon McBurney, Ralph Ineson and Willem Dafoe. The movie based on F. W. Murnau’s 1922 classic of the same title tells a tale of obsession between a haunted young woman and the terrifying vampire infatuated with her, causing untold horror in its wake. Gaumont has released a soundtrack EP for the French comedy Give a Little Beat (La famille Hennedricks). The 6-track EP features the film’s original score composed by Double Dragon (Jil & Julien Bensenior). Expanded ‘Backdraft’ Soundtrack Album Announced

Intrada Records has announced a new soundtrack for the 1991 action drama Backdraft directed by Ron Howard and starring Kurt Russell, William Baldwin, Scott Glenn, Rebecca De Mornay, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Donald Sutherland and Robert De Niro. The 2-CD set features the film’s expanded original music composed by Academy Award winner Hans Zimmer (Dune, The Lion King, Gladiator, The Dark Knight, Inception, The Last Samurai, Rain Man, Man of Steel, Interstellar), including the world premiere release of the complete score on the first disc and the score selections from the original 1991 soundtrack album (released by Milan Records) on the second disc. The soundtrack is now available to order on the label’s official website, where you can also check out audio samples and find more about the release. ‘Benji’ Digital Soundtrack Album Released

Epic Records has released a digital version of the soundtrack album for the 1974 family adventure Benji written and directed by Joe Camp and starring Peter Breck, Christopher Connelly, Patsy Garrett, Tom Lester, Mark Slade, Herb Vigran, Deborah Walley, Frances Bavier, Edgar Buchanan and Terry Carter. The album features the film’s original music composed, arranged and conducted by Euel Box (For the Love of Benji, Hawmps!, The Double McGuffin, Oh Heavenly Dog), including his original score, as well as the “theme” song I Feel Love (performed by Charlie Rich), for which the composer received an Academy Award nomination. The ESX Entertainment production is set in the 1960s and follows an abusive husband and father of two girls who is trying to win back his wife who left him with a beautiful antique necklace, which turns out to be a conduit for the tormented soul of an evil boy from long ago, putting his family in grave danger. Premiering today is the AMC original series Orphan Black: Echoes created by Anna Fishko and starring Krysten Ritter, Keeley Hawes, Rya Kihlstedt, Amanda Fix, James Hiroyuki Liao and Avan Jogia. The show’s original score is composed by Trevor Yuile (Into the Badlands, Killjoys, Stag) who previously scored the original Orphan Black. Julien Baker feat. Calvin Lauber has contributed the project’s theme song, which has just been released as a digital single by Boat Rocker.
