Amazon Content Services has released a soundtrack album for the Freevee original series High School.The album features the original music from the show’s first season composed by Anna Waronker (Yellowjackets, Shrill, Call Me Kat, Harriet the Spy, Santa, Inc., The Republic of Sarah). Visit Amazon or any other major digital music services to stream/download the soundtrack. High School is created by Clea DuVall & Laura Kittrell based on Tegan and Sara Quin’s best-selling memoir of the same title and stars Railey & Seazynn Gilliland, Cobie Smulders and Kyle Bornheimer. The YA comedy drama is told through a backdrop of ‘90s grunge and rave culture and revolves around two twin sisters growing up down the hall from one another.

Walter Mair Scoring Renny Harlin’s ‘The Bricklayer’
Walter Mair (Formula 1: Drive to Survive, The Same Sky, Shark Bait, Knuckledust, Glue, Ronaldo, Cuffs) has been tapped to score the upcoming action thriller The Bricklayer. The film is directed by Renny Harlin (Die Hard 2, Cliffhanger) and stars Aaron Eckhart, Nina Dovrev, Clifton Collins Jr., Tim Blake Nelson and Ilfenesh Hadera. The movie follows a former CIA operative who is forced out of retirement to confront and unravel an international conspiracy. Matt Johnson (Into the Blue, Torque) and Hanna Weg (Septembers of Shiraz) wrote the screenplay based on Noah Boyd’s novel.
‘We Need to Do Something’ Soundtrack Released
David Chapdelaine has released a soundtrack album for the psychological horror thriller We Need to Do Something. The album features the composer’s original music from the film and is now available to stream/download on Amazon (and any other major digital music services), where you can also check out audio samples. We Need to Do Something is directed by Sean King O’Grady and stars Sierra McCormick, Vinessa Shaw, Pat Healy, John James Cronin, Lisette Alexis, as well as Ozzy Osbourne as the voice of Good Boy. The movie follows a family seeking shelter from a storm who find themselves trapped for days with no sign of rescue and untold evils lurking just beyond the walls.
Howard Shore Scoring Scott Cooper’s ‘The Pale Blue Eye’
Howard Shore (The Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit, The Silence of the Lambs, The Aviator, Hugo, Mrs. Doubtfire, Big) has composed the original music for the upcoming Netflix original film The Pale Blue Eye. The movie is written and directed by Scott Cooper (Black Mass, Hostiles) and stars Christian Bale, Harry Melling, Gillian Anderson, Lucy Boynton, Toby Jones, Charlotte Gainsbourg, Harry Lawtey, Hadley Robinson, Simon McBurney, Timothy Spall and Robert Duvall. The thriller based on the novel by Louis Bayard is set in West Point, 1830 and follows a detective who is hired to investigate the gruesome murder of a cadet and enlists one of their own to help unravel the case – a young man the world would come to know as Edgar Allan Poe.
‘Young Royals’ Season 2 Soundtrack Album Released
Netflix Music has released a new soundtrack album for the Swedish Netflix original series Young Royals. The album features selections of the original music from the show’s second season composed by Matti Bye (Young Wallander, Tove, The 101-Year-Old Man Who Skipped Out on the Bill and Disappeared, Everlasting Moments, A Serious Game). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download here, where you can also check out audio samples. Milan Records has previously released a soundtrack featuring the composer’s score from Season 1 last year. Young Royals is created by Lisa Ambjörn, Lars Beckung & Camilla Holter and stars Edvin Ryding, Omar Rudberg, Malte Gårdinger, Nikita Uggla, Frida Argento and Pernilla August.
Main Title Theme from HBO’s ‘The White Lotus’ Season 2 Released
WaterTower Music has released the main title theme from the second season of the HBO original series The White Lotus. The track, entitled Renaissance, is written by the show’s Emmy Award-winning composer Cristobal Tapia de Veer (Smile, Utopia, The Girl with All the Gifts, Hunters, The Third Day, National Treasure) and is now available to stream/download on all major digital music services, including Amazon. Premiering in the U.S. tomorrow, October 31, is the British limited series Inside Man created by Steven Moffat and starring David Tennant, Dolly Wells, Stanley Tucci, Lydia West, Louis Oliver, Lyndsey Marshal, Atkins Estimond and Dylan Baker. The show’s original music is composed by David Arnold (Independence Day, Casino Royale, Tomorrow Never Dies, Sherlock, Stargate). Bella Union has released the drama’s title song God’s Gonna Cut You Down produced by Arnold and performed by John Grant. Premiering on Wednesday, November 2, is the political thriller The Independent directed by Amy Rice and starring Jodie Turner-Smith, Brian Cox, John Cena, Luke Kirby, Ann Dowd, Stephen Lange, Julianne Arrieta and Alicia Reiner. Jessica Rose Weiss (Cinderella, Don’t Make Me Go, Dog Gone Trouble, 1UP) has composed the film’s original music. The movie, which revolves around two journalists who hold the fate of the election in their hands, will be available to stream exclusively on Peacock.

The album features the original music from the show’s first season composed by Pep Magic (aka Zach Johnston & Matteo Robert) (The Dam Keeper). ONI: Thunder God’s Tale is created by Daisuke ‘Dice’ Tsutsumi and features the voices of Momona Tamada, Craig Robinson, Archie Yates, George Takei, Seth Carr, Tantoo Cardinal and Brittany Ishibashi. The Tonko House & Netflix Animation production is set in a mystical world of Japanese gods and spirits and follows a courageous girl who strives to follow in her mysterious father’s footsteps and find her true powers.

Opening in theaters nationwide this weekend is the supernatural horror movie Prey for the Devil directed by Daniel Stamm and starring Jacqueline Byers, Colin Salmon, Christian Navarro, Virginia Madsen, Nicholas Ralph, Lisa Palfrey and Ben Cross. The film’s original music is composed by Nathan Barr (True Blood, The House with a Clock in Its Walls, The Americans, Hollywood, Hemlock Grove, Cabin Fever).
