Silva Screen Records has released the first officially sanctioned soundtrack album for the 1974 romance thriller The Tamarind Seed written and directed by Blake Edwards and starring Julie Andrews, Omar Sharif, Anthony Quayle, Dan O’Herlihy, Sylvia Syms and Oskar Homolka. The album features the film’s original music composed and conducted by Academy Award winner John Barry (Dances with Wolves, Out of Africa, Goldfinger, Body Heat, The Man with the Golden Gun, Somewhere in Time, Octopussy), as well as Wilma Reading’s commercially released single Play It Again, two different versions of The End performed by Danny Street, plus different versions of both main and end title themes. Parlaphone Records have released the original song Measure of a Man from Matthew Vaughn’s The King’s Man. The track is co-written and performed by FKA twigs (with Amanda Ghost, Jane Goldman, Jamie Hartman, John Hill, the film’s composers Dominic Lewis & Matthew Margeson and Vaughn himself) ft. ‘Elf’ Deluxe Edition Soundtrack Album Announced

Varese Sarabande has announced the latest titles in its CD Club series, including a new deluxe score album for the 2003 holiday classic Elf directed by Jon Favreau and starring Will Ferrell, James Caan, Mary Steenburgen, Bob Newhart, Ed Asner and Zooey Deschanel. The album features the expanded original music from the New Line Cinema production composed and conducted by Academy Award nominee John Debney (The Passion of the Christ, The Jungle Book, Iron Man 2, Hocus Pocus, The Emperor’s New Groove, Bruce Almighty), including around 30 minutes of previously unreleased music, as well as alternate tracks. The CD, which is limited to 2,000 copies, is now available to order on the label’s official website, where you can also check out audio samples. The label has previously released the original 2003 score album featuring 30 minutes of Debney’s score at the time of the movie’s release, while WaterTower Music has released a separate soundtrack featuring the songs from the comedy. ‘Encanto’ Soundtrack Album Details

The full details of the soundtrack album for Walt Disney Animation Studios’ feature Encanto have been revealed. The album features the original songs from the movie written by Tony and Grammy Award winner Lin-Manuel Miranda (Hamilton, Moana, In the Heights) performed by the film’s voice cast, as well as the full original score composed by Germaine Franco (Dora and the Lost City of Gold, Tag, Dope, Little). Also included is Colombia, Mi Encanto by Carlos Vives and the original song Dos Oruguitas in two different (Spanish and English language) versions. The digital version also includes instrumental versions of the songs. The soundtrack is now available to stream/download here. ‘The Wheel of Time’ Season 1 – Vol. 1 Soundtrack Released

Milan Records has released the first of three soundtrack albums featuring the original score from the first season of the Amazon original series The Wheel of Time. The Vol. 1 featuring music composed by Lorne Balfe (Mission: Impossible – Fallout, Black Widow, Bad Boys for Life, The Lego Batman Movie, His Dark Materials) is now available to stream/download on all major digital music platforms, including Amazon. The second and third volume will be released over the next couple of weeks. The label has previously released a separate soundtrack featuring Balfe’s principal themes from the series last week. Back Lot Music will release the first-ever commercial score album for the 2003 romantic comedy Love Actually written and directed by Richard Curtis and starring Hugh Grant, Liam Neeson, Colin Firth, Laura Linney, Emma Thompson, Keira Knightley, Alan Rickman, Bill Nighy and Rowan Atkinson. The album features the film’s original score composed by Grammy Award winner Craig Armstrong (Moulin Rouge!, The Great Gatsby, The Incredible Hulk, Romeo + Juliet, The Bone Collector, Ray, Far from the Madding Crowd, The One and Only Ivan). Also included are two versions of Billy Mack’s Christmas Is All Around.
