Jeff Cardoni (Silicon Valley, The Kominsky Method, Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates, CSI :Miami, Turner & Hooch) is scoring the new NBC comedy American Auto. The show is created by Justin Spitzer (Superstore) and stars Ana Gasteyer, Harriet Dyer, Jon Barinholtz, Humphrey Ker, Michael B. Washington, Tye White and X Mayo. The set in Detroit and follows a group of executives of a major American automotive companyas they try to rediscover the company identity amidst a rapidly changing industry. The Broadcast Film Critics Association (BFCA) has announced the nominations for the 27th Critics Choice Movie Awards this morning. The film music-related categories are listed below. For a full list of nominations, click here. The awards will be given out on January 9, 2022 at the 27th Annual Critics’ Choice Movie Awards ceremony at the Fairmont Century Plaza in Los Angeles and will broadcast in the U.S. live on The CW and TBS.

‘Hidden Man’ Soundtrack Album Announced

Soundtrack Magazine has announced a soundtrack album for the Chinese drama Hidden Man. The album features the film’s original music composed by Nicolas Errèra (Shaolin, Raging Fire, Adoring, Shaolin, The Extraordinary Journey of the Fakir, Mountain Cry). The soundtrack is now available to order as a limited edition CD on the label’s official website, where you can also check out audio samples and learn more about the release. Hidden Man is directed by directed by Jiang Wen and stars Eddie Peng, Zhou Yun, Wen himself, Liao Fan and Xu Qing. The movie, which is based on Zhang Beihai’s novel Xia Yin, is set in 1930s China and follows a young swordsman who returns home to try and solve a five-year-old murder case. The film’s original music is composed by Lorne Balfe (Mission: Impossible: Fallout, Black Widow, The Wheel of Time, His Dark Materials, Bad Boys for Life, The Lego Batman Movie).
