The album features the film’s original music composed by Academy Award nominee Alberto Iglesias (Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, The Kite Runner, The Constant Gardener, Pain & Glory, Volver, The Skin I Live In). Matthew Compton (Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping , Palm Springs) is returning to score the new Peacock original series MacGruber. The show is based on the 2010 feature of the same title (scored by Compton) and stars Will Forte, Kristen Wiig, Ryan Phillippe, Sam Elliott, Laurence Fishburne, Billy Zane and Mickey Rourke. The comedy follows the title character who is finally released after rotting in prison for over a decade and must reassemble his old team to take down a mysterious villain from his past. The film is directed by Tom Gormican (That Awkward Moment) and stars Nicolas Cage, Pedro Pascal, Sharon Horgan, Ike Barinholtz, Neil Patrick Harris, Alessandra Mastronardi, Jacob Scipio, Lily Sheen and Tiffany Haddish. The movie centers on the fictionalized version of Cage who is creatively unfulfilled and facing financial ruin and must accept a $1 million offer to attend the birthday of a dangerous superfan, when he is unexpectedly recruited by a CIA operative and forced to live up to his own legend.
