Lonestar Music has released a new soundtrack album for the Viaplay original series Face to Face (Forhøret). The album features selections of the original music from the show’s second season composed by Mikkel Maltha & Anthony Lledo (A Taste of Hunger, The Purity of Vengeance, Frostbite). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download here, where you can also check out audio samples. A first album featuring the composers’ score from Season 1 was released in late 2019. Ramin Djawadi (Game of Thrones, Eternals, Iron Man, A Wrinkle in Time, Pacific Rim, Clash of the Titans, Prison Break) has recently been scoring the upcoming film adaptation of the video game series Uncharted. The movie is directed by Ruben Fleischer (Venom, Zombieland) and stars Tom Holland, Mark Wahlberg, Sophia Ali, Tati Gabrielle and Antonio Banderas. The action adventure follows a young street-smart Nathan Drake on his first treasure hunting adventure with wisecracking partner Victor “Sully” Sullivan in a dangerous pursuit of “the greatest treasure never found” while also tracking clues that may lead to Nathan’s long-lost brother. Five new movies are opening in theaters nationwide this week:
Already playing in theaters since this past Wednesday is the animated sequel Sing 2 written and directed by Garth Jennings and starring Matthew McConaughey, Reese Witherspoon, Scarlett Johansson, Taron Egerton, Bono, Tori Kelly, Nick Kroll, Bobby Cannavale, Halsey, Letitia Wright and Pharrell Williams. The film’s original score is composed by Joby Talbot (The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, Closed Circuit, Penelope). Back Lot Music has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s music earlier this week (click here for the full album details) and Republic Records has released a separate album featuring the songs from the movie (including original tracks by Sam I, Anitta, BIA & Jarina De Marco) last week (click here for more information).
Also playing in theaters since Wednesday is the sci-fi action sequel The Matrix Resurrections co-written and directed by Lana Wachowski and starring Keanu Reeves, Carrie-Anne Moss, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Neil Patrick Harris, Jessica Henwick, Jonathan Groff, Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Jada Pinkett Smith. Johnny Klimek & Tom Tykwer (Cloud Atlas, Run Lola Run, The International, Perfume: The Story of a Murderer) have composed the film’s original music. WaterTower Music has released a soundtrack album featuring the composers’ score, as well as eleven remixes last week. The movie is set in an isolated mountain village in 19th century Macedonia and follows a young girl who is kidnapped and then transformed into a witch by an ancient spirit. The album features the film’s original music composed by George Kallis (Cliffs of Freedom, After We Fell, The Black Prince, 93 Days, Albion: The Enchanted Stallion). Magic Light Pictures will release the official soundtrack album for the animated holiday special Superworm. The album features the original score from the animated comedy composed by René Aubry (The Gruffalo, The Bears’ Famous Invasion of Sicily, Room on the Broom, Zog, Under the Bombs). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, December 24 and will be available to stream/download on all major digital music platforms, including Amazon.
