Opening in theaters nationwide this weekend is the horror movie Weapons written and directed by Zach Cregger and starring Josh Brolin, Julia Garner, Austin Abrams, Alden Ehrenreich, Cary Christopher, Benedict Wong and Amy Madigan. The film’s original music is composed by Ryan Holladay & Hays Holladay and Cregger himself. WaterTower Music has released a soundtrack album featuring the artists’ score last Friday. Also opening wide is the comedy sequel Freakier Friday directed by Nisha Ganatra and starring Lindsay Lohan, Jamie Lee Curtis, Julia Butters, Sophia Hammons, Manny Jacinto, Rosalind Chao, Vanessa Bayer, Chad Michael Murray and Mark Harmon. Amie Doherty (She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, Spirit Untamed, Happiest Season, Blue Eye Samurai, Undone, Please Don’t Destroy, The High Note) has composed the film’s original score. Hollywood Records has released a soundtrack album featuring four tracks from the composer’s score, as well as songs by Lohan, Pink Slip, The Beaches and Chantry Johnson last Friday.
