Deadline is reporting that T Bone Burnett (Inside Llewyn Davis, Crazy Heart, True Detective, Walk the Line) is attached to compose music for a film adaptation of Chuck Klosterman’s novel Downtown Owl. The film is directed by actors Lily Rabe & Hamish Linklater and stars Rabe herself, Ed Harris Vanessa Hudgens, Finn Wittrock, Jack Dylan Grazer and August Blanco Rosenstein. The drama is set in rural North Dakota in 1983 and revolves around a high school English teacher whose presence upends the lives of locals just in time for a white-out blizzard for the ages. ‘Nightride’ Soundtrack Album Announced

PKR will release a soundtrack album for the thriller Nightride. The album features the film’s original music composed by DJ and electronic music artist Phil Kieran who has made his feature scoring debut on the project. The soundtrack will be released on all major digital music platforms on May 6. Three first tracks can already be checked out on Bandcamp. Nightride is directed by Stephen Fingleton and stars Moe Dunford andJoana Ribeiro. The movie is set in Belfast over a single night and follows a small-time dealer who tries to pull one last deal with cash borrowed from a dangerous loan shark and – when the handover goes wrong – has to race against the clock to find his missing product and secure a new buyer before the loan shark finds him.
