Premiering in the U.S. on Wednesday, July 6, is the natural history series The Green Planet narrated by David Attenborough and executive produced by Michael Gunton. The show’s original music is composed by Benji Merrison (SAS: Red Notice, General Magic) & Will Slater (Dynasties). Silva Screen Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composers’ score this past April. Premiering on Friday, July 8, is the Apple TV+ limited series Black Bird developed by Dennis Lehane and starring Taron Egerton, Paul Walter Hauser, Greg Kinnear, Sepideh Moafi and Ray Liotta. The Scottish post-rock band Mogwai (ZeroZeroZero, The Returned, Kin) has composed the show’s original music. ‘Neptune Frost’ Soundtrack Album Released

FADER Distribution has released a soundtrack album for the sci-fi musical Neptune Frost. The album, entitled Unanimous Goldmine, features the film’s original music composed by the movie’s writer/co-director Saul Williams (Akilla’s Escape, A Midsummer Night’s Dream). Opening in theaters nationwide this weekend is the animated feature Minions: The Rise of Gru directed by Kyle Balda and starring Steve Carell, Taraji P. Henson, Michelle Yeoh, Jean-Claude Van Damme, Dolph Lundgren, Julie Andrews and Alan Arkin. The film’s original score is composed by Heitor Pereira (Despicable Me, The Angry Birds Movie, Smallfoot, The Smurfs). Decca Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the songs from the movie by artists such as Diana Ross ft. Quartet Records has release a new version of the expanded soundtrack album for the 1974 western Bring Me the Head of Alfredo Garcia directed by Sam Peckinpah and starring Warren Oates, Isela Vega, Robert Webber, Gig Young, Emilio Fernández, Helmut Dantine and Kris Kristofferson. The album features the newly remastered complete original score from the film composed and conducted by Jerry Fielding (The Wild Bunch, Escape from Alcatraz, The Bad News Bears, The Gambler). The CD is now available to purchase on the label’s official website, where you can also check out the full details and listen to audio samples. Grammy Award-winning jazz drummer and composer Antonio Sanchez (Birdman or (The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance), Get Shorty, Politics, Instructions Manual) has written the original score for the new HBO original documentary series The Anarchists. The show is directed by Todd Schramke and tells the story of “Anarchapulco,” an event that was originally created as a conference held in Acapulco, Mexico, promoting the ideals of pure anarchy. The 6-parter follows individuals engaged in this movement with full access to the drama that ensues as a community tries to live alongside tourists and drug cartels with only the principles of anarchy as their guideposts. The full track list of the soundtrack album for the fourth season of the Netflix original series Stranger Things have been revealed. The album features the sixteen songs from the first volume of the Season 4 soundtrack, as well as six additional tracks from the final two episodes of the new season: Rock and Roll, Hoochie Koo by Rick Derringer, Fire and Rain by James Taylor, Spellbound by Siouxsie and the Banshees, Master of Puppets by Metallica, When It’s Cold I’d Like to Die by Moby and Steve Perry’s & Bryce Miller’s extended remix of Journey’s & Steve Perry’s Separate Ways (Worlds Apart).
