Opening in theaters nationwide this weekend is the animated feature Minions: The Rise of Gru directed by Kyle Balda and starring Steve Carell, Taraji P. Henson, Michelle Yeoh, Jean-Claude Van Damme, Dolph Lundgren, Julie Andrews and Alan Arkin. The film’s original score is composed by Heitor Pereira (Despicable Me, The Angry Birds Movie, Smallfoot, The Smurfs). Decca Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the songs from the movie by artists such as Diana Ross ft. Also opening wide is the romantic comedy Mr. Malcolm’s List directed by Emma Holly Jones and starring Freida Pinto, Ṣọpẹ́ Dìrísù, Oliver Jackson-Cohen, Zawe Ashton, Ashley Park and Theo James. Amelia Warner (Mary Shelley, Wild Mountain Thyme, Mum’s List) has composed the film’s original music. Lakeshore Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score today.
