Mark Foster (of the indie pop band Foster the People) has made his television scoring debut on the upcoming Netflix original series Unstable. He is collaborating with Sven Faulconer (Blood FatherThe Last Ice, The Elephant Whisperers, Into the Okavango) to co-score the show created by Rob Lowe & his son John Owen Lowe and Victor Fresco (Santa Clarita Diet, Better Off Ted)  and starring the Lowes themselves, Sian Clifford, Emma Ferreira and Aaron Branch. The comedy revolves around a biotech genius who tries to bounce back from the depths of grief with help from his son, who works to escape his dad’s shadow and save the family business. The creators are also executive producing the project with Marc Buckland (My Name Is Earl, Stumptown). Foster has previously co-scored the 2015 feature Little Boy. Unstable will premiere on March 30, 2023 on Netflix.

Faulconer has also recently co-scored the slasher sequel Scream VI (with Brian Tyler), which will open in theaters next Friday, March 10.

The music is highly infectious and reminds me a lot of the music score from Utopia
