Paul Doucette (1 Mile to You, For All Mankind, The Archer) and Jeff Russo (Fargo, Star Trek: Discovery/Picard, Legion, The Night Of, Love & Death) have teamed up to score the upcoming documentary Canary. The film is directed by Danny O’Malley & Alex Rivest and chronicles the life of Dr. Lonnie Thompson, an explorer daring to seek Earth’s history contained in glaciers atop the tallest mountains in the world who found himself on the frontlines of climate change – his life’s work evolving into a salvage mission to recover these historical records before they disappear forever.

‘Top Boy’ Score Album Announced
Netflix Music has announced the first score album for the British TV series Top Boy. The album features selections of the show’s original score composed by Brian Eno (The Lovely Bones, Dune, Me and Earl and the Dying Girl). The soundtrack will be released digitally on September 1 and physically (on both CD and vinyl) on September 29. 22D Music has released a soundtrack album for the French/Moroccan sci-fi drama Animalia. The album features the film’s original music composed by Amine Bouhafa (Timbuktu, The Summit of the Gods, Four Daughters, Gagarine, Beauty and the Dogs, The Man Who Sold His Skin). Camilo Lara Scoring Alejandra Márquez Abella’s ‘A Million Miles Away’
Mexico City-based DJ, electronic music producer and composer Camilo Lara has provided the original score to the upcoming Amazon original movie A Million Miles Away. The film is directed by Alejandra Márquez Abella (The Good Girls, Northern Skies Over Empty Space) and stars Michael Peña, Rosa Salazar, Bobby Soto, Veronica Falcón, Sarayu Blue, Julio César Cedillo, Garret Dillahunt and Eric Johnson. The biographical drama is based on NASA flight engineer José Hernández’s book Reaching for the Stars: The Inspiring Story of a Migrant Farmworker Turned Astronaut by and chronicles his journey from a devoted family of proud migrant farm workers from a rural village in Mexico, to the fields of the San Joaquin Valley, to more than 200 miles above the Earth in the International Space Station.

The album features the film’s original score composed by Michael Abels (Get Out, Us, Nope, Bad Education, Breaking, Nightbooks, Allen v. Farrow). The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, August 18 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Landscape with Invisible Hand is written and directed by Cory Finley and stars Asante Blackk, Kylie Rogers and Tiffany Haddish. The movie based on M.T. Anderson’s book of the same name is set in the near-future years into a benevolent alien occupation of Earth and follows a 17-year-old artist and his girlfriend as they livestream their budding romance when they discover the alien species are particularly fascinated with human love and will pay for access to it.
Anna Meredith Scoring Mahalia Belo’s ‘The End We Start From’
Anna Meredith (Eighth Grade, Living with Yourself) has composed the original music for the upcoming British survival drama The End We Start From. The film is directed by Mahalia Belo (Requiem, The Long Song) and stars Jodie Comer, Joel Fry, Katherine Waterston, Benedict Cumberbatch, Mark Strong, Nina Sosanya and Gina McKee. The movie is based on Megan Hunter’s best-selling 2017 novel of the same name and follows a new mother, her partner and their infant as they are driven out of London into the English countryside by cataclysmic flooding.
Soundtrack Album for CBC’s & The CW’s ‘Moonshine’ to Be Released

Ludvig Forssell (Death Stranding, P.T., Belle) is making his live-action feature scoring debut on the upcoming action thriller Boy Kills World. The film is directed by Moritz Mohr and stars Bill Skarsgård, Jessica Rothe, Andrew Koji, Yayan Ruhian, Famke Janssen, Brett Gelman, Isaiah Mustafa and Sharlto Copley. The movie centers on a deaf warrior as he is trained by a mysterious shaman to topple a far-flung dystopia. Tyler Burton Smith (Child’s Play) and Arend Remmers (Snowflake) wrote the screenplay.
