Datahead Music has released a soundtrack album for the horror thriller Outpost. The album features the film’s original score composed by Steph Copeland (Vicious Fun, The Retreat, The Heretics, The Oak Room, I’ll Take Your Dead, The Dwelling). Outpost is written and directed by Joe Lo Truglio and stars Beth Dover, Ato Essandoh, Dylan Baker, Dallas Roberts, Becky Ann Baker, Ta’Rea Campbell, D.R. Anderson and Tim Neff. The movie follows a woman who – after a violent assault – asks her best friend for help escaping an abusive ex and given a job as a fire lookout in the mountains of Northern Idaho. The thriller was released in select theaters and on VOD this past May by Gravitas Ventures.
The label has also recently released an album featuring the composer’s score from the Canadian thriller Cascade directed by Egidio Coccimiglio and starring Sara Waisglass, Greg Bryk, Sadie Laflamme-Snow and Joanna Douglas. The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Cascade revolves around a teenage girl whose wilderness hike with friends spirals after they stumble upon a crashed drug plane, forcing her to outwit a ruthless gang. The movie was released in Canada this past June.
