The film is directed by Matthieu Rytz (Anote’s Ark) and and illuminates the relationship between the deep ocean and sustaining life on Earth. The documentary narrated by Jason Momoa follows a mining startup company as it pursues funding, public favor, and permission from the International Seabed Authority to mine wide swaths of the Pacific Ocean floor. Opening in theaters nationwide this weekend is the period comedy drama Babylon written and directed by Damien Chazelle and starring Margot Robbie, Diego Calva, Brad Pitt, Jovan Adepo, Lukas Haas, Jean Smart, Li Jun Li, Tobey Maguire, Samara Weaving and Olivia Wilde. The film’s original music is composed by Justin Hurwitz (La La Land, First Man, Whiplash). Interscope Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score earlier this month. Already playing in theaters nationwide since this past Wednesday is the animated sequel Puss in Boots: The Last Wish directed by Joel Crawford and starring Antonio Banderas, Salma Hayek, Olivia Colman, Samson Kayo, Wagner Moura, Anthony Mendez, Florence Pugh and Da’Vine Joy Randolph. Heitor Pereira (Despicable Me, Minions, The Smurfs, The Angry Bird Movie, Smallfoot) has composed the film’s original score. Back Lot Music has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score, as well as the songs from the movie last week. Genie Music Corporation has released a soundtrack album for the South Korean Hulu/Disney+ original series Big Bet. The album features the original score from the show’s first season composed by Yoon Il Sang. The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on all major digital music services, including Amazon. Big Bet is directed by Kang Yoon-sung and stars Choi Min-sik, Son Suk-ku and Lee Dong-hwi. The crime drama follows a former English teacher running a bar in Korea who flees to the Philippines due to a crackdown by the National Tax Service, where launches a casino business, when he is suddenly framed for murder.
