Milan Records has released a soundtrack album for the animated feature The Peasants. The album features the film’s original music by Polish music producer/rapper/composer L.U.C. (aka Lukasz Rostkowski) and the Rebel Babel Film Orchestra. The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Listen to the first track (Indian Summer) after the jump. The Peasants is written and directed by DK Welchman & Hugh Welchman (Loving Vincent) and stars Kamila Urzedowska, Robert Gulaczyk and Mirosław Baka. The movie tells the story of a young woman who is determined to forge her own path within the confines of a late 19th century Polish village. The animated feature premiered at this year’s Toronto International Film Festival and opened in Polish theaters earlier this month. Sony Pictures Classics has picked up domestic distribution rights. A release in the U.S. in late 2023 or early 2024 is expected.
