The album features the composer’s original music from the film and is now available to stream/download on Amazon and most other major digital music services. Aztec Batman: Clash of Empires is directed by Juan Jose Meza-Leon and stars Horacio García Rojas, Omar Chaparro & Álvaro Morte (in the movie’s Spanish language version) and Jay Hernandez and Raymond Cruz (English language version). The reimagining of the Batman legend set in the Aztec empire tells the story of a young Aztec boy who escapes to Tenochtitlán after his father is murdered by Spanish conquistadors and develops weaponry to avenge his father’s death. Premiering on Tuesday, September 23 is the FX original series The Lowdown created by Sterlin Harjo and starring Ethan Hawke, Keith David, Kyle MacLachlan, Ryan Kiera Armstrong, Jeanne Tripplehorn, Kaniehtiio Horn, Tim Blake Nelson, Michael “Killer Mike” Render and Tracy Letts. The show’s original music is composed by singer/songwriter and guitarist JD McPherson who has made his scoring debut on the project. The neo-noir crime drama, which revolves around a self-proclaimed Tulsa “truthstorian” whose obsession with the truth is always getting him into trouble, will air every Tuesday night on FX and will also be available to stream on Hulu.
Premiering on Wednesday, September 24, is the Prime Video original series Hotel Costiera created by Elena Bucaccio & Francesco Arlanch and starring Jesse Williams, Maria Chiara Giannetta, Jordan Alexandra, Antonio Gerardi, Sam Haygarth, Tommaso Ragno, Amanda Campana, Pierpaolo Spollon, Alejandra Onieva and Jean-Hugues Anglade. The film is written and directed by Jalmari Helander and stars Jorma Tommila, Richard Brake and Stephen Lang. The movie follows Aatami Korpi as he returns to the house where his family was brutally murdered during the war and is determined to rebuild it somewhere safe in their honor, when the Red Army commander who killed his family comes back hellbent on finishing the job. Amboss Recordings has released a soundtrack album for the second season of the German TV series Oktoberfest: Beer & Blood (Oktoberfest 1905). The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by by Michael Klaukien (Goebbels and the Fuhrer, I Am Scrooge, Vares: The Sheriff, Tatort). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon, where you can also check out the track list. 2 Lane Records has previously released an album featuring Klaukien’s score from the first season, entitled Oktoberfest 1900, back in 2020.
