Opening in theaters nationwide this week is the spy/action movie Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One co-written and directed by Christopher McQuarrie and starring Tom Cruise, Hayley Atwell, Simon Pegg, Ving Rhames, Rebecca Ferguson, Vanessa Kirby and Henry Czerny. The film’s original score is composed by Lorne Balfe (Mission: Impossible – Fallout, Black Widow, Black Adam, Top Gun: Maverick). Sony Classical has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s music earlier this week. CD and vinyl editions will be released by La-La Land Records and Mondo. Opening semi-wide in around 650 U.S. theaters is the Irish comedy drama The Miracle Club directed by Thaddeus O’Sullivan and starring Laura Linney, Kathy Bates, Maggie Smith, Agnes O’Casey and Stephen Rea. Edmund Butt (Life on Mars, Dalíland, Origin, Finding Alice, Bancroft, Mistress) has composed the film’s original music. Dubois Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score today.
